"Military training has three purposes: 1)To save ourselves from becoming subjects to others, 2)to win for our own city a possition of leadership, exercised for the benefit of others and 3)to exercise the rule of a master over those who deserve to be treated as slaves."-Aristotle, The Politics, Book VII

THERE MOST CERTAINLY IS!!!!!!!
Nothing against the proud ANZAC of course, Canada and Austrailia have very distinct cultures and heritage, as well as many similarities. Yet both without hesitation fought side by side with the Empire in times of war this century. The fact that each nation has their own infantry only represents the contribution each nation paid in blood in a century of warfare. We both paid a much higher price per capita than your average nation did.

Pericles, you comment is unfair.
As Sarsstock says, the Australian and Canadian armies have made their
mark in history, never flinching or backing down from the enemies.
So, both the ANZAC and Canadian troopers have great value to the
Entente in the scenario, and will have quite different unit powers.

Hadn't realised that one could actually take pride in being a British lackey"Military training has three purposes: 1)To save ourselves from becoming subjects to others, 2)to win for our own city a possition of leadership, exercised for the benefit of others and 3)to exercise the rule of a master over those who deserve to be treated as slaves."-Aristotle, The Politics, Book VII

I want to give the tank assault option to all powers.
As you know, the tanks will be expensive, and will be used up after an attack.
But will offer a way to perhaps smash enemy lines.
I have a choice here:
Either give the Entente and Central powers a generic tank each - Mark 1V or FT17 vs the AV7 or similar...
But I have a problem - And perhaps one man can help!
Fairline, would you be up for adding you magic to the Mark 1V tank in the units file, or perhaps a German tank?
I will replace the Japanese cavalry with it.
If you are too busy, I will give it a crack!

Hasn't someone(Nemo?) alreday done a Kraut tank?"Military training has three purposes: 1)To save ourselves from becoming subjects to others, 2)to win for our own city a possition of leadership, exercised for the benefit of others and 3)to exercise the rule of a master over those who deserve to be treated as slaves."-Aristotle, The Politics, Book VII

Here's the song I had in mind. Quality is severely decreased to make the file smaller.
The Dubliners - Waltzing Matilda
Btw: it's not the waltzing matilda you know from the Aussie national anthem.

Yeah, the Pogues did a version of that song as well as the Dubliners. It's called 'and the band played waltzing matilda' BTW. I think it was written by a folk singer in the 1970's and isn't a WW1 song.
'It's a long way to tipperary' is definitely the British WW1 song

Curt: I think the MkIV is a better choice for generic tank; the FT-17 was definitely second-generation, and it would be a little like using a Panther as a generic WW2 tank IMHO. If there is a free slot (!) you could perhaps use it as an upgrade to the MkIV, with twice the speed (or range if it's a missile unit).
I would still not give the Germans a tank if I were you. The A7V was a complete disaster - so much so that only about 20 were ever made. it's pitiful ground clearance and huge weight made it virtually immobile on the battlefield, and it's great height made it unstable (some even fell over ). Personally, I'd go with the idea of stormtroopers as the German equivalent to the Entente tanks - with perhaps a tech called 'infiltration tactics' or some-such as a preq.
BTW, I have already started a MkIV today, but got side-tracked when the footy came on the telly

Yeah, well, maybe it's too melancholic. They sing about the war though.
Anyways, here's good 'ol tipperary! Maybe this on the other hand is too jolly?
It's along way to Tipperary
Again, reduced to telephone quality....
