    • I have actually played 10 turns...
but "someone" (who has long ears and used to be electronic) is fond of long logs (and I needed some sleep ).
I write the log this afternoon.

        • 28 gold: it is clear that building up our war treasury is going to be our top priority. Besides, we are now so close MobWar and Robotics that it would be a waste to go on fighting with cavalry.

Therefore LF's main decision is: 10 years of 'peaceful' growth in order to get Robotics and gold ('peaceful' means striking back but not fighting any offensive war).

          1874: Science at zero.

          1875: Discover Basra

          1876:
          Stock Exchange completed in OSM.
Silver (d) from Nagoya to Kashgar = 277g.

          1877:
Russian sneak attack (sinks an empty transport).
Salt (d) from Yokohama to Samarkand = 122g

          1878:
          Barb king = 150g
15 freights ready, treasury = 1032g, we set science at 60.

          1879:
          10 deliveries in Rostov, Tabriz, Kashgar and Bokhara (all demanded but two) = 114g, 145g, 115g, 152g, 60g, 164g, 56g, 60g, 107g, 120g.
I thought that long distance (up to 60) and island bonus would be rewarding:
          Miniaturization discovered, MobWar researched

          1880:
          Let us test the other way: Delivery (nd) to OSM = 343g;
well, that's it ! = it is much more rewarding to deliver to our high trade city (and we are going to get high trade routes too if we RR all around OSM in order to make all surrounding cities 'station cities' and get the RR bonus everywhere on the island).

          1881:
          d. MobWar, r. MassProd.
          7 deliveries to OSM: 343g, 326g, 334g, 192g, 76g, 156g, 340g =

          1882:
          d. MassProd, r. Computers
          9 deliveries to OSM: 87g, 124g, 402g, 322g, 252g, 338g, 285g, 262g, 285g.

          1883:
          d. Computers, r. Robotics
(but we are short of freights)

          1884:
          288g, 334g, 316g, 306g, 360g = Robotics to be discovered right now

          • Wow! That's more than 7000 in deliveries from the time you noted a treasury of 1,032 in 1878. How much in the bank now?

Thanks for the nice log, La Fayette. It's appreciated.

            • I agree -- nice log, nice work.

Since STYOM seems to be on hiatus, we're looking for Cyrion to carry the day.

You'll get an early out if, as we all assume, the killing of Magellan was an accident. It WAS an accident, right??

I now feel like a liar and betrayer: due to RL problems (an unexpected meeting for work + the need to reformat, again, my comp ), I won't be able to play this before Monday!

So if you feel the delay is too long, please skip my turn!
Otherwise, I'll do my duty at the beginning of next week!

                            • As the situation is REALLY interesting, and as I am afraid to make mistakes, my play rate is slower than expected...

I'll finish tomorrow, but let's just say it seems it'll be interesting...
