I'll have to wait until tomorrow after work though to complete my turns
Any idea why all the tiles went black like that?

I think when he went back into WB, he clicked on the Darken all tiles option. Which, darkened all the tile on the world. So, I went back in to WB from the save and revealed only the tiles that the last screen shot had on it. I think I got them all but, if I didn't...oh well. The save file is the autosave that I had on my PC from messing around with the save so, we may have missed a turn or two.

OK time to do my rounds!
1320 AD: Infrastructure improvements
1330: Alphabet researched, now learning Metal Casting
1340 - 1350: More Infrastructure improvements
1360: Notre Dame was built in a far away land
1370: Metal Casting done- working on Compass
1380-1390: More Infrastructure improvements
1400- Meet with Egyptians! We agree to an open borders treaty and we trade a bunch of tech including Monarchy and Drama (or was it Music?)
1410- Agnor Wak was built in a far away land Kara got 238 gold for it's production so far, switched to lighthouse to maximize food from clams
Was a pretty uneventful turn but alot of necessary improvements to infrastructure done. I noticed with Incas we were pretty far behind in tech and Incas didn't want to trade very fair but when we met Egyptians they were willing to make some very fair trades and we got alot of tech from them!
John-SJ, it's all you man!Attached Files

The proclamation was made that every city shall be defended by at least 2 units, archer or better, especially if they are along the coast. The city of Beshbalik shall end its wealth production at once in order to help in the training of troops.
1430:
Karakorum finishes production of its lighthouse and is now building a harbor.
1440:
ur empire now is the home to over 5 million souls. Turfan is celebrating "We Love The Ubercado Day"
1450:
We have fully researched Optics and are now ready to begin on Feudalism.
1460-70:
Continuing several infrastructure projects. We had the opportunity to meet with a rather haughty Queen Isabela of Spain. Other than a brief exchange of "pleasantries" and an agreement to let each go his or her own way, there is nothing to report.
1480:
Asked for and received open borders with the Incans. I am trying to stimulate a healthy relationship with them.
1490:
Infrastructure
1500:
We have a Caravel which is on its way to meet with a second missionary (one on board now) but this turn a Great Merchant (Hanno) was born in our land. We must not pass on the opportunity to let him trade with a faraway empire. (if the next emperor chooses of course )
1505:
Bummer! I just learned that the Caravel only has room for 1. Well, looks like Syoris will decide what shall become of the Great Merchant with a little more time to think things over.
Here is our empire today.
