    Comment

    • I've set it to 26 hours now.

edit: I'll make it 30 hours. Everybody plays their turns in time anyway.

          • Thanks guys. What a mess, you come home from holidays and you find your broadband is down.

All back online now , so I can play.

I realise that my habit of playing once every 24 hours at the same time is difficult the way the timer works. I don't think its unreasonable to only be able to play once a day, particularly when in war which means turns take a while to process. (I know most other nations have been playing 'log in and click to end turn' for many months, but I have been almost permanently at war for months - my fault for being a mad, though perfectly peaceful :-) fundamentalist - but it does take its toll. The problem is that if I play near the beginning of the 24 hours, soon everyone else ends turn, the turner flips, and then when I then log in 24 hours later I find I near the end of the timer, and Egypt understandably is frustrated waiting.

However, I don't think that Hindustan will be around for much longer!

While I can't absolutely promise, I will try to log in twice a day now as I am back from hols to keep trying to play near the beginning of the timer, but I can't promise to play twice in a 24 hour period if the turns keep flipping - the rest of life needs attention too!

So you refuse to do anything to demonstrate your trustworthiness, despite the fact that last time we made peace with you you then decided simply to betray your words and attack us again using our own weaponry. You expect us to trust the person who has just stabbed us in the back? What idiot does that? We have abided by the terms of our peace treaty fully, but it seems you do not care for trustworthiness - you simply decide you see things differently and abandon your treaties at will.

And still you fabriacate. Your justification for tearing up our treaties is "We realize now that it doesn't matter how much we weaken you, we need a permanent solution to this problem once and for all." There has already been a permanent solution. The spread of Hinduism in Egypt, your own religious state, and the spread of Hindusism in Gondor have all ensured there can be no Hindu victory. There has been a permanent solution already. But you don't care about that - for you prefer to act in such a way as to ensure rich producing land for yourself and your lackies.

                • Augustus of Rome,

Please spare the world your self-justifying lies.

Nothing whatsoever has changed in the last ten years since you were proclaiming your friendship towards us. Absolutely nothing.

Except one thing. You have seen the opportunity to expand your lands, your power and your wealth. Your master Egypt has promised you Hindu lands and your greed was too much.

Nothing has changed, but you abondon your friends - ney not just abandon but invade, with no warning.

Greed is a terrible thing my friend. It will eat you up and destroy you - and no nation will trust you again, if for the sake of greed you betray your friends.

                  • Throughout Hindustan there was peace.

The long forseen doom was here. The great battle in which the blood of hindu martyrs would be poured out on the sacred ground. Even the Great Conclave could do nothing - the people from across the land streamed into the Shrine, eager to die in the defence of all that they hold dear, all that makes Hindustan Hindustan. Confdent that, in this world or the next, the gods would punish the wicked liars and backstabbers, and raise up the godly.

The only other activity were diplomatic missions arranging for foreign governments to take over the governance of the Hindu people once the Hindu government itself was burnt in the wreckage of the shrine.

                    • When the first war started you missed the DV by 8 votes, almost all Egypt was already converted, we saw no other option but to free the former viking lands from you-we asked the others to convert their cities too, but they refused.. however many years later after we captured many of your cities they started to believe you that Egypt's goal is to get the DV for herself-so then they converted their cities.. how ironic, but in any case there was no reason for us to keep Hinduistan land any longer, we gave back the cities, something what an expansionist warmonger (like you for example) would never had done.

Then out of the sudden a new vote missing just with 40, and we learn that even more hinduistan missionaries are on their way, colaborating with russia.. Hinduistan has tricked us: they used Russia as a tool and thought we were fools.. But in the treaty we never said we would never attack again if we must-tough we wanted to avoid it as long as possible. There was no peacefull solution because the others did not want to find one-including you.

Now it is enough if you trust us in one thing: we are determined to save the world from hinduism. After this war is over my people will rejoice to live under free religion again.

                      • Egypt / Rome: let me know when you're ready to play your turn.
I'm in my car now heading home. I can't start the game in the next 90 minutes.

                          • Across Egypt the Hindu slaves rebelled.

Lied to by their maters for too long. The shame pretence of a Hindu government. The endless slavery. Why should they labour to see their brothers massacred?

                            No more.

The slaves of Egypt say no. The ex-slaves say no - following the example of the martyrs of hinduism, they throw off their chains prefering to die as servants of the gods than live as slaves of liars.

That is an utter lie. No nation alone can achieve a diplomatic victory. If Hindustan had 100, 200 or 300 more votes (or the 400 you now possess) there would still have been no diplomatic victory. The whole thing was a false presence. It was only your wicked persecution of Hindusism which caused other nations to have sympathy for us, and so create the very problem for which you kill us.
