Archelaus, I fear I'm not privy to all the facts behind the war between Rome & Korea. If Rome sent peace feelers to Korea whilst simultaneously sending troops across the border to invade, then I would consider this highly duplicitous. However, I feel it difficult to believe the claims of the Koreans. Like their Japanese brethren, I suspect them guilty of some kind of perfidy.

I have nothing more so say in the subject. What I said before your "ultimatum" still stands. Our troops will leave Oldonia.

Friends and enemies alike,
Please. We are descending back into war. Millions will die.
The Roman approach is a simple one. We have a cease-fire and then we argue and negotiate about peace. Yes at the point of the cease-fire there are always opportunities - I could take Samos at any moment capturing the remaining Spartan oil wells. The Spartans claim that they could take a Roman city. But peace will only come if we all pause - leave those tantalising opportunities hanging in front of our eyes. And yes we all fear that our enemies will gain one over us during a cease-fire. They fear the same about you too. But without taking risks, all will die.
Agreeing to a cease-fire does not mean agreeing to any set of peace-proposals which happen to be on the table at the time. Already over the hours I have seen great movement in the position of different nations. But at the same time, people are getting more angry with each other because of continuing military action.
Let us all adopt a cease-fire. Now. No excuses. And let us sort this by talking. And at the end, if a nations feels they would prefer war, they can always go back to that.
Marcus.

My forces are left or on their way leaving Oldonia.
Very important issue:
The barbarian Natives are keep murdering civilians, pillaging villages for the third turn by now. They have never replied to the cease fire offer, I have to assume they have no intention to stop their rampage. Next turn I will give orders to kill those murderers unless I see an apology and a promise that they stop the pillage.
I'm eager to hear Rome's peace proposal

Marcus of Rome,
If the Wyandots continue to ignore the cease fire the Greek/Japanese alliance will lift our cease fire with the Wyndots from our side as well.
I salute the Yoshiro Nakamatsu for restraining himself while under siege by the treacherous Wyandots.

Enough talk Yoshiro! Russia commences moving Armour West Next Round and will undertake hostile actions in conjunction with Wyandot against illegally stolen lands taken from them unless you come to terms forthwith.
Russia has stood by the Cease-Fire but you have failed to even try. You offer sweet words but they are hollow and deceitful. Your master cannot control you so others must teach you discipline. Behave, as a good dog should, and no further life need be lost but if not Cities that you have promised as payment for your ill deeds will already have been secured and another six will need to be offered.

You say you had followed the cease fire? you said that for even last turn still moved a transport next to Alcetas, but I didnt say anything.
But in this "turn" Japan ceased to do any aggressive move. My movement of military was retreat.
Since the Wyandots have not answered here but continue to kill civilians I have to assume they have no intention keeping the cease fire and continue the pillage. As i said I did not attacked them in this turn, but I will do in the next unless they write here that they accept cease fire and withdraw from my territory. I'm dissapointed btw that none of you disapprove of what they are doing. Pillaging cottages is in fact a war crime.
The Oldonians took a city from me in this turn of supposed cease fire, but alright I didnt want to keep it anyway. I choosed not to take an other city I could, but leaving with my troops.
I see your insults are the same.. calling us slaves and dogs was one of the reason of this war as we can not tolerate them indefinitely. Now you are very brave with Rome in your back. If you want to come, come.. but alone.

Re: Meduian Homeland Defensive Alliance
The world is a dangerous place. It was just a short time ago that the Romans and Portuguese placed military on our continent and threatened us with war. The Portuguese navy patrols our shores and continues to threaten the Khmer. Rome continues to spread propaganda and lies against us. The Spartans and Japanese have proven to have no fear in starting massive wars against their neighbors. This world is a dangerous place and our security depends on cooperation.
Therefore, his lord majesty, prince of darkness, Ozzy the Bateater is proposing a Homeland Defense Pact. Different from a defensive pact, and different from an alliance, the terms are enclosed:
1. All nations of the continent of Meduian are called upon to defend all Meduian pact members from foreign invasion on Meduian soil.
2. This applies to wars begun by a Meduian member or a foreign power.
3. This applies to wars currently ongoing or wars yet to begin.
4. This pact does not apply to colonies, territories and possessions off the Meduian continent.
5. All nations are expected to provide a reasonable contribution to the continent's defense by boosting their military budget and sharing information.
Signed,
Lars Ulrich

Archelaus of Sparta,
My generals have reported the deployment of Greek jet-fighters to the front line. This is deployment of troops is a breach of the cease-fire arrangemnet. However I assume that these jets were gifted to you by another nation (since you do not have the technology to build them) and thus they were moved by that other nation. We could argue long about this. However, trusting your recent communications indicating that we are very close to making a conclusive peace deal, I have instructed my generals to ignore this fact. A confidence building measure, should we say.
Nevertheless it further points out how fragile this cease-fire is.

I'm glad to report that only three of my four enemies violated the cease fire last turn, most of these violations were negligible. For example a single bombing on my infantry by a russian airship when they must have known that my unit heals more than the damage they can cause.. must have been just a provocation..
A viking fregatte is still scouting my shores dangerously close to my fishing boats.. I chosed not to sink it.
But...
The Wyandots made a serious violation: they brought even more units into my territory and continued pillaging my cottages. I clearly see they dont want peace and I don't need this kind of peace with them either. I suggest Rome should not include them into our peace treaty.
We have received Rome's new peace proposal and Japan found it very reasonable. We need some discussion with Sparta about the matter, but most likely we can sign it very soon.

Our apologies to the Japanese.
Due to a mislaid missive (about a possible cease-fire being discussed), Wyandot forces were following their last received orders of continuing a pillage campaign around the city of Kakashi (given the current garrison within Kakashi).
All remaining Wyandot forces have now been ordered back into Wyandot lands in order to give this peace deal a chance to take effect.

Archelaus,
Time is up. Every other nation has signed up to the peace deal. You have had 24 hours and have said nothing. Am I to conclude that all your promises and words up to now have been a sham, and that as with the Koreans many years ago, this whole process has been a fraud? Surely not. I understand the need to think, and respect that, but now we need to act. If this war recommences, it will then not cease with this kind of peace treaty, but with the occupation of ancient cities, and much destruction - on all sides.
Speak my friend, many nations are waiting.

Final Ultimatum for Peace
Archelaus,
We are all still awaiting your response.
Three times you have come back on the peace proposals and each time I have compromised, and given more to Sparta.
We are now at an end.
If the peace is not concluded within 5 hours from this message, the cease-fire will fall.
I still very much hope that this will not be the case. We have a good deal on the table. But the other nations involved can no longer wait. We all know that these last days you have been very active diplomatically with countries other than those involve in this war, but for your own reasons not concluding this issue. Kindly do so now.
5 hours left to establish peace; the world is watching.
Marcus
