Yes, real history. And I guess if we have to go back to tribal days I'm going to say no, because it was before recorded history and we would have no knowledge of it.

Be carefull tribal history is not nesecarily unrecorded. It can be written down by outsiders.
There where quite a few recorded and succesfull female leaders in ancient times, I'm not comfortable saying no. Its probably obscure but if someone wanted to they could dig up at least one example from recorded history.Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”

Sadly, not even Zenobia managed to face another Queen - whatever people said of Emporer Aurelian and his General Probus - but she did manage to kick a lot of Roman arse as well as knocking off a goodly number of Greeks and Egyptians into the bargain.

Regarding the Khmer
Hi all,
I have a suggestion regarding the Khmer. If the deity is not coming back into the game before the end of the year AND he does not mind giving up control(and is willing to consult via PM now and then) I wouldn't mind switching from Spain to Khmer.
Next to the obvious reward for me, it might break the current stalemate and release one of the larger powers from being a puppet (not saying I think there has been any abuse, just saying that a civ that is run as a primary civ WILL make different choices than a civ run as a secondary civ) If you think handing me the reigns is a bad idea (and who can blame you) then imo at least we should consider another one of the lower rank civs to make this move. Khmer is too much of a key player to be on a subbed status.
If I or another player takes over khmer,we could ask that friend of mine who I suggested earlier to take over for that civ, so he does not get tossed into the deep right away.
I hope you don't think I am being to forward with this. I just think the game is a point where it would be more fun to have players with only one agenda. (hidden or visible )

Well St. Jon just started with them, and I think he's been doing a pretty good job. So my vote is to avoid rocking the boat since there is so little left to play in the game.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012
