  • Ok, I think I figured out the cause of the problem. It is still a problem, but not a game glitch and not something to reload over.

HOWEVER, there are two and a half hours left in the turn and Portugal, Khmer and Spain haven't played yet. This turn is rather more important than any turn with a war, so I request a pause.

Or at the very least I request that Russia or I play Khmer if Jeoren is missing for some reason. Apparently Spain/Khmer missed their last turn as well.

    • I'm not quite sure where the "A requests a pause because B hasn't played" rule/logic comes from. We have all missed opportunities because our so called allies didn't turn up. But then we all know the context, and I can understand the frustation! Though Ozzy logging in as Khmer and deciding its in Khmer's interest for Ozzy to win seems a little irreglar to me. On the other hand, this is such a clever coup well-excuted, it almost does deserves to work. And I guess it will, the voting distribution being as it is.

          • Ozzy sure would look foolish after all that talk of peace 'n ****.

            • I have paused the game.
Both b/c Ozzy requested it and b/c Portugal can't miss another turn.

I can't reach Jeroen by phone.
I say: 24h, after that anybody should sub for Khmer and Portugal. (Even if that would mean that Rome would sub for both Khmer and Portugal).
We must get this over and done with.

This means in short that if we fail to get it done, Russia should continue to sub for Khmer, and either Wyandots or Japan should sub for Portugal, no matter if it's fair or not.

And I 100% side with Rome, it's really not fair towards Rome that 2 that important players quit the game that close to the finish.
I admire players like America, Celts and Wyandonia, civs who are backward but stay loyal to the game till the end! Thanks guys!
And also thanks to MMC for returning to the game! Really appreciated!

              • For the record, the msg above is not directed to Jeroen! He's of course free to skip a weekend. He could not know that we would ask him to be that important in this big civ-sub-shuffle.

                      • I noticed that. It's weird since everything is down on my server. Most probaly a process that's still running somewhere. (civstats is buggy anyway).
I'm doing a complete reboot now, that doesn't hurt anybody anyway.

                        • I must have Spain's P/W before continuation. Khmer must be played as they owe other Civ's Upgrades.

                          • Let me login as Khmer - I will do no different from Jeroen - and no re-load should be needed.

                            • We can't continue without Portugal anyway.
I'm fine with letting you sub for Khmer further, but I want to wait till we have a sub for Portugal anyway.

                              • Portugal makes no difference - Toni or sub.
