  • The Hovel Report

A darkness has appeared over the land and time appears to have stood still. Our prophets fear demons are at work. The end of the world is upon us and our citizens have fled into their homes to await death and plead to the tree gods for mercy.

    • While walking home from a meeting with Takauji

Ashikaga, Suizei received a message from some one

they have never met. Who were these “Romans” and

why do they send messages to others they have not

met? Unlike his father before him Suizei was not easy to

trust anyone especially someone they have never met.

He continued walking to Kyoto and thought about the

message. From the stories told by Portugal the Romans

were not to be trusted. They are smart and deceitful,

though if they were to turn out to actually be peaceful

then it would be foolish for him to not go met with a

potential new friend. So he sent orders to the unit

already in the main land to find these “Romans” and

see if they could truly be trusted or not.

      • The citizens of Meeting would be honored to host such an event. The city is already known to Rome, the Wyandot Nation and Portugal. Others should have no problems with reaching it.

        • @ Rome; I thought my post that was translated into Roman-Latin was clear enough; KOREA DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT YOU! WE HAVE NO CONTACT WITH YOU! STOP INVITING US TO THINGS! We appreciate it, I am glad you think we are that important, but if we didn't understand your last letter what makes you think we'll understand this one? Especially with words describing OTHER nations we know nothing about?

Eh.... you not knowing about us doesn't preclude us knowing about you also we have asked the nations who have relayed this message to translate it to their language and add it to the letter. You understand Greek right?

Also the letter was sent to every civ, we specifically sent it to any nation we have heard of. That's why we said that some nations remain legend.

We have met, your ship was spotted a several decades ago and we expressed interest in purchasing exotic Spanish Furs.

We believe your boat could easily saild around Russia and reach meeting.

Rome then recognises Piercia as the host of the conference.

We shall send a representative to the city immediately. We can not wait to see which achievement shall be showcased by Piercia.

They sent a ship over here.

How else was I then able to make diplomatic contact with them?

Also how else was the prince of Portugal able to sail to leave for Spain for safety during our war?

The city of Meeting is a port city in any case so the simple Spanish vessel should be able to reach it in a reasonable time frame if it hasn't yet left for Cyberia.

It appears your intelligence agency is ill informed my dear sir. Also Rome always checks its info.

                      • It was night; Marco was sitting close to the window looking towards the open sea. After a few moments he sat down to finish his letter:

Amor, amor, my love, this word so sweet that I repeat.
Amor, amor, my love, would you deny this heart that I have placed before you?
I can't find a another word with meaning so clear; my lips try to whisper sweeter things in your ear, but somehow or other nothing sounds quite so dear as this soft caressing word I know.

Amor, amor my love, when you're away there is no day. And nights are lonely. Amor, amor, my love, make life divine, say you'll be mine and love me only!

                        • Oldonia Provincial High Council

Davros, good to meet you it has been too long

Davros sneered at the man who greeted him, He had been forced to live in isolation for decades and now that his plans were coming to fruition everyone wanted to be his friend.

Get out of my sight, I hav eno time for grovellers He pushed the man aside and continued to the centre of the room.

He looked around at thos gathered. All the governors from every province and the elders of the Council. He sneered again. He himself had no time for the Elders. Their beliwf system was flawed and ws holding Oldonia back. There was no Great One he did not exist.

Governors of the Provinces, I am glad you all made it gere. We have much to discuss.

What are we here for , my province is in danger from the Devils from Barabia. I should be there to plan the protection of the province

You will find this meeting will aid you muchly Governor Jackson. Now step back and let me speak

Davros waited for everyone to be quieted.

For centuries our foolis h leaders places trust in peace in the region. Believing that our neighbours would help resolve any issure like the Barabians. Now we know that hssnt occured, every nation around is looking after their own interests. In recent times the entire leadership of our nation has been assasinated, murdered, by forces unknown to us. I tell you this comes from trusting other nations too much. We need to look after ourselves first from now on.

But Davros what about our agreements with other nations

Governor Smith, i glad you asked. But first to make things official. I call for a vote from all you governors and elders to elect the new Despot of Oldonia. Davros knew the governors would not turn on him, only the elders would vote agaisnt him. He had already made many bribes and promises to the Governors.

                          I nominate Davros for Despot

The Elders cringed but before they could speak the vote started and the Governors outnumbered them.

Thankyou Governors. Now as Despot, I do decree that the only deal that shall stand is out agreement with Wyandots regarding land North of the Natives. We shall not claim that land. First we will complete the anihilation of the Barabians to the south and clear them forever fro mthe Desert. Then to the north where they are based the Hated Hun will be exterminated. Thirdly to the south are more of the Black people. We will totally exterminat them all once and for all. No prisoners will be taken, men women and children will be forever exterminated.
He licked his lips in thought of all the killings, he hated the Black people for their murdering of his family.
We shall seek new deals with the nations of the world to aid us in our battles agaisntt the Blackies. New land deals with all of our neighbours will be made.

I propose to offer the Greeks the landbridge is theirs to do as they wish as far north as the Desert. No one will want to live in that desert anyway. We will give up rights to the jungle to the west of the Dividng range on the land bridge.

To the Japanese we formally will offer all the islands off the coast, including Yellocacia.

To the Wyandots we offer the northern plains.

To ourselves we will seek out and conquer the Blacks wherever they be found.

                          He turned to his aide

It is spoken , so let it be noted, make it so.

                          • Seoul...

"Your Majesty! Your Majesty!" Hae Mosu cried as he searched around Sejong's chambers. He was nowhere to be found. Hae Mosu had a translation from the Greeks as to the mysterious missive delivered months prior. The message was poorly written, but Hae Mosu assumed this was on the part of the translator, despite this it was legible; Rome was inviting all nations of the known world to meet for a summit. Hae didn't know exactly what Rome wanted to speak about, there was no contact between the two Empires, and the little knowlege that Korea had of Rome didn't exactly matter much in their eyes. Rome was far away, and did nothing to effect Korea.

Hae Mosu approached a guard "Guard!" he said, catching his breath "I search for the Emperor."

"The Emperor sir, he is not in at the moment, he has gone upon the river Han, on one of his cruises." the Guard said stoically.

"Did he tell you when he would be back?" Hae Mosu asked.

"No sir, that is none of my concern sir, he left with General Han Gong and Lama Jigong, they are discussing matters of state, among other things."

The Foreign Minister was disappointed, he felt his influence over the young Emperor slipping "Well then, I have important news for his majesty, this is entirely ridiculous!"

"Take it up with his majesty sir" the Guard curtly.

Hae Mosu stared at the Guard "Bah!" he yelled, "You are of no use!!"then he marched away.

                            Tikal, Mayan Territory...

The mushrooms overtook Daemok more quickly than usual. She was content in the Mayan court, but that was just it; content. She certainly didn't enjoy the freedom of movement her mother had in Korea, and Pacal was often away tending to the business of running the Empire. Little did she know much of this had to do with political currents brewing within the Mayan Empire (her mother's own freedom of mobility in Korea similarly had to do with political considerations, but in the opposite direction). None of these matters concerned her much, the only socializing she ever did was when Pacal was around and she longed to see him again. The mushrooms kept her entertained in the mean-time. She looked around the room and began to feel the effects, the ornate head-dresses of her servants danced in her eyes as a gentle throbbing overtook her entire body.

Then came the visions, this time they were disturbing...

...A long jaguar trodded through the jungles smelling the flowers as beams of sunlight burst through the canopy, butterflies flew clumsily by and a feeling of peace overtook her mind. Then came an owl, perched upon a branch, the jaguar looked up and growled, the owl was unmoved, and continued his song. Then a tiger arrived and growled at the jaguar, the jaguar growled back and the two slowly approached one another, and circled, eyeing eachother down. All of the sudden a large dragon swooped through the canopy as a blinding singlight burst all around, he flew into the air and extended his wings blocking out the sun and bringing darkness. The owl remained unfased, continuing to sing. The tiger pounced upon the jaguar, the two fought bitterly, resulting in the tiger's death, the jaguar growled as blood dripped from its teeth and the dragon fell upon it and ripped it in half...

"Daemok, Daemok!" a servant said, Daemok quickly came out of it, she was in another room now, as more servants rushed towels of water to her, they placed them over her forehead.

                            She breathed heavily "What happened?"

"They gave you a bad vision my Queen, you were out for hours." a servant replied.

                            "Hours?" Daemok asked...

                            North of Seoul...

"As you can see Emperor, we have captured many Aztecs, which will make a fantastic gift for Pacal!" Han Gong said beaming with pride.

"Excellent." Emperor Sejong said, a wide smiling grew on his face "This will certainly be a glorious trip."

"I should think so sir, we took as many alive as possible, although we slaughtered much more, the streets ran red with blood." Han Gong replied.

"As they will in Tikal!" Sejong laughed "Very good General, very good."

"Your majesty, I received a letter from-"

"Not now!" Sejong interrupted Han Gong "I will speak on this matter with you in private." he said, both men looked at Jigong, who was clearly drunk (as usual).

"Well don't look at me, I didn't send no letter."

You request us to join you at a meeting in Percia. We would gratefully meet there, but you dont want diplomats there you request our soldeirs to attend. We cannot spare any of our remaining units for this task, nor would we send one solitary unit across the vastness of the Barbarian empire. That would be foolish.

After we have wiped out hte barbarians, which are obviously leaving the rest of the world in peace if youcan all safely send a single unit to a distnat land . After this is done we will seek out the Pierced ones.

Your plans sound great but are not suitable to us. We cannot attend due to the mechanics of the world we live in, we would be there in spirit and negotiate but this is not what you want.

We estimate if we even had one spare unit that could survie attacks from Barbarians it would be 30 or more Turans before they would arrive.

Your meeting is obviously soon not in 300 uyears time.

Call us again later if you reschedule.
