Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
my only problem is what happesn if i playing a Fascist leader and so have nto built cathedrals, but religions are spreading into my lands. i want t orid myself of them. how do i build the inquisitor to rid myself of the infidels.
Mussolini was a Fascist and was Catholic, Franco was Fascist and was Catholic? Hitler wasn't the only Fascist and I don't think he tried to get rid of religion, not the way you are describing at least. Its not like he burned all the cathedrals in Germany.
Well if i am a fascist i certainly dont want religions spreading in my nation. the examples you give is that religion had already spread through europe prior to the fascists arrival.
In my games i play at SP. I rarely build cathedrals as i personally am opposed to the big buildings part of religion, ( i know it only a game but it is a ibg thing for me to see wasted money by chriches) So i dont build them, i play as a dicattor often going fascist.
So just wondered how i stop the srpead of other peoples religions into my lands.
Look, the way we have it set up you have to be under a Theocracy and you can only build your state religion's inquisitor. There is no way around this, and I've been trying to get this to work for five hours. If this is really a HUGE problem for you if you can figure a way to set it so that there is an atheist inquisitor, or the same type of unit, with a different/equivalent building to a cathedral (maybe an intelligence agency) or a University or something of that ilk that allows a unit like that that also can't be built by someone else who DOESN'T have a cathedral and has a state religion and isn't running theocracy then be my guest.
This is really delicate stuff, and it isn't as easy to do as you think.

Actually Hitler did try to get rid of religion.
That is one of key points that distinguishes Nazism from Faschism. He blamed religion for splitting Germany inot a Chatolic North and Protestant south.

Is there really no way to make the buildable under Police state and have them remove all religion if no state religion is present?
What if you make all inquisitors remove all religion, but have the re-spread the state religion simultaneously?

Not to mention certain Communist regimes.

Well, I'm gonna be quite honest here. Even if you guys are totally right and I should add the ability to get rid of religion altogether (which is kinda dumb anyway because you lose three building possibilities, and four if its the holy city), I am still not going to do it because MMC and I are having enough trouble as it is getting this Python right, and if to add that to the mod its going to result in us changing all of the Python again, and I don't want to do that unless its totally necessary. I think we've put in over 12 hours just on Python alone, which doesn't include the XML at all (which was probably another four to five hours). So its a lot more work than just wishing it so. When I am finished getting the Inquisitor to work maybe I'll consider adding an option for atheist leaders (maybe I'll add a secret police unit or something that diminishes unrest/war weariness AND removes all religions) but for right now we have a lot on our plate as far as that goes. What I really want are suggestions in other areas, or discussion about other things (like UN units, SuperSpies, or the whole Embassy/Language issue) that you may want in. When I get the Inquisitor figured out we can start talking about atheist/fascist/communist leaders. But honestly we don't want to put the cart before the horse here.
But I do appreciate the discussion, but let's try and keep it to the mod and not to history. We aren't going for realism here, we are going for ways to enhance the Diplogame, and to me realism isn't necessary to Diplogames. If you want political realism run for public office.

That last post was a little rude. I was just frustrated over the python problems we were having. Noticed I said WERE!
Yes, we've finally got it fixed and everything works. The Inquisitor works exactly like we wanted it to. You can build Inquisitors only under a Theocracy, unless you build a cathedral (and you can only build them in that city even if you do that). Inquisitors can never be built under Free Religion or Pacifism. You also must have a state religion in order to build one and that religion must be present in the city. So there are some strict guidelines there.
The SuperSpies work perfectly, and the spies pretty much get an upgrade after each successful mission (I say successful because noe of the promotions is that a spy can escape even if they fail a mission). I will say though, apparently I was mistaken about the "Fake a failed mission and say another civ did it" thing, apparently that was just part of the discussion thread at CFC for the superspy mod, so I apologize. Although if anybody knows how we can do that that would be awesome.
So anyway, the mod is finished except for one last thing. MMC is going to add Combat Engineer promotions, and yes the Praetorian is going to get Eng I, which ONLY gives the ability to build roads. If you want to be able to build forts you need to advance to Eng II. I felt that was a good compromise.
While MMC is working on the Combat Engineer promotion I just wanted to put some other possibilities out there for the mod. So here's a nother list of possible additions;
1) United Nations units (UN Peacekeepers, possibly with the ability to scrub fallout or ad health/food to a city)
2) Embassies required to maintain contact, thus we would have to program a loss of contact after a period of time.
3) "Language" techs; you are required to research a language in order to talk to a civ after establishing contact (these would be extremely cheap by the way)
4) Extra religions, here is one example of what I was talking about; CLICK HERE. It wouldn't change much because 7 religions still exist in the game, this just gives more flavors to the religions. Basically they dont' act differently from the regular religions. The ONLY drawback to adding this would be that I would have to add 7 new inquisitors to the game, which sucked last time, but I think I got it down to a science now.
So those are some ideas. Another thing; if you want the first version of thos mod when it is finished to try on your own PM me (as The Capo please) with your e-mail address (remember not to use your Pitboss log-in if you are in BtP) and I will mail you the mod. Since I am not sure if we are finished with it I didn't get to pak all the files up, so it may take a little while to download. But its a good mod.
