  • For clarification, the Corean envoy presented a map of the proposal. The shaded area would form a buffer zone where neither nation could place a city, and the as-yet-undetermined border in the east would follow the line of the Baekdu Mountains to the sea.

        • The Athenians wonder if the Coreans aren't giving away too much land. The Coreans may not know as much as the Athenians know about the lands surrounding the Maya and the Corean empire.

I suggest your lay a border as well starting 7 counties north of Seoul, heading into the north-west direction, till you reach the sea.

          • Here is a simple message posted by the good people of Spain. I welcome you to the new city of Barcelona. It was a joyous occasion. Pictures will be sent when our messenger has the time to do so.

            • A peasant enters the gates of Korecom and yells:

They are here they are here………

A guard jumps out and asks the peasant who was here.

              The Romans, the romanssss

              The guard:

Where did you see them, tell me at once?

              Peasant:

I and my son were hunting in the woods and we saw a roman scouting party heading this way.

              The guard:

I will inform Lord Meto II of this immediately!

              Lord Meto II:

Send the following message to the roman warriors heading our way.

Do not come any closer towards Korecom, make an u-turn immediately and head back to where you came from. Go back to your families if you love them and leave brave roman warriors, IF you continue heading north you will see for the last time the sun going down today I CAN PROMISE YOU THIS.

              Meto II:

Now run and take this to the Romans.

              Guard:

              Yes my Lord!

Meto II turns and tells another guard:

You run as quick as you can to the Outpost camp and put on alert the Bear Slayer and his brothers. Tell the Slayer that I may have another quest for him soon enough, just need to hear back from those Romans heading towards us.

Also recall our scout from the roman borders, we may need all the men we can get.

The Corean people thank you for your advice, but wonder if you know the intense pressure they are under from some quarters to bend over for the Maya. We nonetheless accept your suggestion and hope the Maya accept it as well.

                • We, the Athenian people, haven't heard anything from the Maya since we have sent our message of peace towards them.
If these Mayas aren't willing to find fair solutions to border problems then the Athenian people may be willing to send some troops to help the Coreans to secure their borders.

We hope to live in peace with both the Coreans and the Mayans, but are willing to face the possibility that the Mayans aren't willing to live in peace with us. In that case we share an enemy.

                  • Based on the advice of our Athenian friends, we submit a revised proposal to the Mayans.

                    • One month after the city of Kyoto was taken, the large resistance was hunted down and hung. Lord Zanza wanted everyone to know how powerful he was so he picked 2000 citizens at random and stuck their heads on long poles along the main road was a warning to anyone else trying to be brave. The Zanza guard patrolled the streets as the citizens hid in fear of dieing. Day by day more and more people were killed just because Lord Zanza wanted to kill them. And with each person that was killed it seemed more and more of the Zanza guard showed up. With only a few of the Oda elites still alive they decided to try to escape the fallen city and start a new city were they could gather a force strong enough to take back Kyoto.

Meanwhile on the Jin, Kenshin decided that his name made it unsafe for him and his men so he changed his name to Kessen Himora after the teachers who taught him when he was younger. It would still be some time before the ship made it to the main land so, Kessen decided to go over the map and mark out the spots where the first ninja expedition found the other civilizations. His hope was that he would be able to get one or two of then to offer troops so he could take him home back. He did not know much about the other civilizations but he hoped that they were kind and would help him in anyway they could.

I never got a message, besides the time you wrote about sending me a peace message.

At any rate, check your plomp email, and take note of the date sent.

                        • Mayan Counterproposal

The Corean runner made it through the dense and dangrous jungle with a proposed boarder agreement.

A few days later, another runner came with second, less generous agreement. It was also noted that the civilization of greece had helped craft this second proposal.

The elders were considering the first agreement, but took insult to the second.

"Do they not realize the hardship we could rain down upon them? Do they not realise we could crush them? Corean leadership must be smoking too much of the weeds that grow in the jungle", commented one elder.

The Mayan proposal is that Corea not build a city more then three lengths north of their capital. We are well aware of the land south of your capital while we have only ocean to our backs. You have three moons to agree or disagree.

                          • The Corean leadership heard the Mayan counterproposal with sadness and dismay. Any land that may lie to the South is at yet unknown to the Corean people, and the proposal that was sent earlier already greatly favours the Mayans. The result of the Mayan proposal would be the same as if they conquered Corea outright.

The following was sent back to the Maya by way of response:

"We are sorry, but we cannot accept such onerous terms. Our proposal already puts the border closer to our capital than to yours. If it is the western portion of the border that you are displeased with, surely we can come to a fair agreement of where a buffer-zone should lie. We seek only a just, lasting peace; not any advantage for ourselves. If, however, you mean only to crush us, what difference is it to us if it is done by pen rather than by sword?"

                            • Metal heads report

The boys were singing and banging their drums. IT was good to be a Metal head.

Over to the north the spotted a neighbouring tribes warrior.

They beckoned for him to come play music with them.

The warrir grinned and drew bac khis club and beat the Metalheads.

The metalheads were at war !!!

                              Why they knew not why.

It was a surprise attack from Charlamagne.

The labourers were taken captive and the peace of the lands was ruined.

I think we need a bigger club!

Our warrior sent back this magical picture via courier for our citizens to see so they don't venture far from our walled cities.
