perhaps the main rule we need is STORIES need to be posted....

When the organisation thread is longer than the stories there is something wrong.

Despite having little to do early in game, some of us hav emade the effort.

Yes story posting gives away some of the secrecy but that is the whole point of DIPLO games.

i do not give away any secrets. i tey stories and i try to keep out vital information. but your right viking. we need more stories. just cuz its still early dosent mean you can't write stories. we are playing with 18 different civs yet only a handful ever write stories. i think we should stop fighting eachother here and start writing stories.

Portugal - if I can make a suggestion - your stories are great, but it's easier to follow if you use italics or something similar to denote different speakers ([ i ] and [ b ], for example, for italic and bold, or you can use [ color=red ] and such, or [ size=-1 ]... lots of choices!).

IE:

i dont sit infront of it all day. its just i work second shift and with the work i do i finnish pretty fast so the rest of the night i have nothing else to do so i keep an eye on appolyton to see whats going on. trust me if it wasn't for the fact i have to stay at work even if i finnish early i would be at home with my wife and not online.

I find the story thread a little contrived to tell you the truth ... I have very little going on in my civ alhough I will now considering being ursurped my just deserves on the stonehenge ... crumble mumble.

the stories are meant to be contrived. it is hte biggest part of DIPLO, unfortuantly some people stil lthinking this game about winning and destroying other civs.
