Odd, I could have sworn I voted for session 7. I KNOW for a fact I either voted in 6 or 7. You may want to check the plomp inbox again.

Concerning the most recent session voting. I am a bit confused. Should we vote soon after the session or wait until right before the next session?

Voting right after allows for better recall with regards to military achivements, but seems premature with regards to storytelling and diplo (assuming that diplo is based on both ingame and story post).

Personally I wait until right before the next session, so that all story posts written that week can be accounted for.

Another thing I will mention is that it is actually to a players advantage not to vote. In this way, you are helping no one get votes, while still being able to receive them. Some sort of penalty should be attributed to players when they miss a voting session to prevent this exploit.

I don't have access to the vote inbox. I'm just going off of what people say here in the thread. So if you vote, please say so. Session 7 was the session you were absent for (last week). Did you vote for that one or the week before?

I do agree about it being not in the player's direct interest to vote. I think a penalty for missing a week's voting would be appropriate to discourage this. And provide extra incentive.

The orignal deal was that you could vote up to 24 hours after the next session. Currently we are trying to get players back on track that is why they can still vote for 5, 6 .

Also military achivements are not as straight forward as you might think, I would definetly wait for to see the posts in which they present it, since unless you have observers everywhere it is hard to know what is going on and who invaded, bullied or impressed someone with their military.

Wise. In any case the arangemnt is that you can vote for a session 24 hours after the session after it, so all players have a chance to read all the posts concerning previous players. You can also change your vote, but you must explciitly state which vote is valid.

Daylight Saving and start times

I understand Europe is still on standard time?
USA is on summer time?
Aussies change to standard (winter time) this weekend prior to the game.
When does Europe start on summer time?
Aussies will need to begin one hour earlier if game starts at same northern hemisphere time as last weekend. Will this be the case?
Or does the game commence at a different time due to changes in northern hemisphere time zones?

Please respond so all are aware of correct start time

All countries in Europe except Iceland observe summer time and change on the same date and time, starting on the last Sunday in March.


That will be this session, so we will return to the time arrangemnt we had before this summer time mix up, Europeans will need to be carefull so that they wake up at the proper time since digital clocks and cell phones may auto-switch to summer time causing problems.

Personally, I pay little attention to who voted or didn't vote. I cast my votes with complete disregard to the status of others voting record. Considering under half the players even vote on a regular basis, I would be willing to guess even fewer take the time to factor in who votes and who doesn't.

Ok, I just sent my session 7 votes AGAIN. I renamed the email "Carpathias votes session 7". The first attempt was simply named "last sessions vote". Perhaps this was the confusion?

Anyway, I counted my votes in my sent items and it totals 5. So I missed 2 voting sessions. Whoever is managing the votes (CS?) please verify that you have recived 5 votes total from me. I will vote for session 8 just prior to game time.

And yes, one of the missed votes was the week I was sick. I do not feel I should vote for this session considering I did not play in it. This leaves my unexcused session votes at 1 which I think was the first session.
