Like he11 you are NOT. Get back in here.

First, I will apologize for my lack of posting. Unfortunately the period of this game has coincided with major eye surgery on both eyes and a necessary but quick trip to Florida. Through that - I have only missed one session. But my posting has been wanting.

Secondly, the huge alliance/conspiracy/Toni is manipulating people is really overblown. Nols summed it up fairly well.

Thirdly, I for one am really looking forward to where the jihad takes us as a game and a world.

And you were right about my error in declaring peace last session CS. It is part of the game. Play on. It just irked me because of the time in planning - and it occurred when another player started to fade, so you never know if the game is active or not at that point in time. Pretty frustrating.

So - let's go. One hour to game time.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

        I'm sorry, no.
I'm not going to make a phonecall to the USA for this.
I want to avoid that things get personal, and by getting on the phone, things do get personal.

Believe me, I'm done with the game.
Right now I don't have personal issues with anybody, let's keep it that way.
I have problems with the game attitude of some, oh well, it's just a game, so that doesn't matter.

Toni, please accept it that it may be just better if we're not in diplogames together anymore. I'll just step back from it right now for a while.

        I need sleep anyway.
        Thanks for offering the phonecall.

How about you guys get a decent story happening instead of freaking out about game mechanic/human errors...
Yes - not a bad outcome - just not what I was planning for.

And as stated above - I am Ok with playing on. I appreciate that this has happened to others.

But for the record - I respectfully requested - I did not "freak out".

That being said - and I suspect most of the younger folks who missed the late 70's early 80's bar scene cannot relate - but it was a great song to dance to - .... Awwww, freak out!

Hate it to be the party pooper.
I'm mentally unable to do that.

I'll be playing, I'll be a tad bit (15 minutes) late though.
Some of you guys host the game from the lobby, you need 15 minutes to get started anyway.

            I'll see how I play.

Cyber, please don't leave us-I LOVE having you in the game, you would be sorely missed by everyone here (including Toni-though he would probably deny it ). Look, you should know that these ongoing barnies & connection issues have made me want to just walk away more than once-but I stuck it out regardless. This is largely because the Diplo Games gives me an unprecedented opportunity to roleplay my civilizations (though Civ4 has been the best for doing this-even in Single Player Games). I am not going to take sides & say "this person is just playing to win" or "this person is just being sulky". The people in question KNOW if these accusations are true or not & it is on their consciences. I just want us to get passed that & simply enjoy the game. Seriously, Cyber, can't you reconsider-if only for me?

Ok i tried reading page 2 but i had to stop0 this is ridiculous. Every1 has terrible attitudes over something i dont even want to bother reserching. i say we all stop acting like we are getting our periods and play on.

My apologies to those I didn't speak to earlier.

We had a blackout and it took ages for the ADSL line to kick in.

Much appreciated that you waited and sorry we therefore had no session.

To get the game finished maybe we agree on continuing after 30 mins if something like this happens again to someone. I mean I'd really hate it if it was me but once we get 11 people in a game and we have no issues with a vacant civ maybe we bite the bullet to get the game done.

Maybe a few rules like not attacking and more or less supporting in any way the direction of the crashed players civ... I dunno... I feel bad... 11 PLAYERS!!

                                1. Toni and me spoke after the game and 'made things up'. I admitted that I overreacted. Toni understood my point and tries to adopt a bit.

                                2. Deity is right about continuing if someone is having problems, though in some circumstances someone is essential for the game to continue. I think that a war situation always needs all inflicted people. (in this situation: Germany, Portugal, America, Holland and Ethiopia.

If someone is just not available, then we need to find a sub. But if one of those 'essential' people has problems I think we should always wait.

Essential people may depend from time to time.
Conclusion, if you want to miss no single turn, wage a lot of wars

                                3. Keep in mind that you can queue a lot of things! Unit moves, worker actions, building queues, tech-queues. Use it! It's even wise to queue many things near the end of the session! That way the AI (or sub) will know what to do. The AI does follow the queues!
