How come that does not ALSO fit the Dutch? They have to give the best city? That seems more personal than the arrangement for the rest.

This all sounds like my long past domestic situation, which I left. only one way.. period.. and its not mine.

Geeez Nolan, this is a game.
Isn't it obvious that we play it a bit harder on the #1 guys then on the #11 guy?

Ok about my leave i think that only Dec 14th will be unplayable for me, so I would like to request a postponement for that Friday. The following 21st & 28th i will be at my sisters house and use my laptop. Slow but at least i will be able to play.

So hopefully 1 week will be alright with ppl to wait for me.

I'm fine with waiting 1 week.
Getting married is someting very special, I'd not like it to be responsible for you thinking: "Darn, I could've been playing civ right now" all day

We have NEVER gone back in time. Not sure I follow you here Toni?
Well we are not going back in time - we need to reload the last turn which is 1060AD My info tells me that Beta made peace in 1060AD which is our last save as well. So if i'm correct we need to just load the beginning of this turn.

              We ended in 1065
The peace was made in 1060

If we load 1060 we lose one turn of warfire! A war is going on, and reloading in wartime is simply outragious.

Not to mention that it's not fair against me either. Peace was made, I paid education for it. I can see that it was a mistake, but why should we reload for a mistake being made? I've made a zillion mistakes, some mistakes were pretty hard.

One of my mistakes was that I dropped from the game and the AI sent my ship with troops into a totally different direction then I wished. Can we please reload 5 turns ago, so I can fix it?

Toni, I know that you and Beta are in front of my coastline with ships, ready to invade me. I know that your ship enough can't do it and you need Beta's assistence. I know that it sucks for you guys. But isn't that what a game is about? Making mistakes and adopting to it?

10 turns ago I asked Beta for peace, he said that he would consider it. Then 10 turns later I approached him again. Not even because I saw his fleet coming, but because I just had to ask him for a 2nd time (I'm in war with 7 civs right now!!! I'm approaching them all for peace)

When I gave education for peace and he accepted it it was not weird for me. First I asked him, he considered, then I asked him again, offered education, and he accepted it. And now he wants to change that. I'm sorry, but that's simply not fair.

Can you please look further then only: "Oh, we need to invade CS and we made that mistake and we need to undo it" ?

Right now I get messages from all sides, we invade Ethiopia and we need to stop it because it's not fair and we bully up against the weak civs, etc. etc. And on the other side I'm being invaded by two strong civs (hey, I'm a weak civ as well!) but I manage to get out of it, and now I'm being shot at because we need to reload because you guys made a mistake!

When I invade I need to stop because it's unfair
When you can't invade we need to reload because it's unfair.

And Nolan, We, the Jihad civs, Deity, Ozzy and me, are NOT the strongest civs. Deity is 3rd, Ozzy is 7th and I am 8th on the score list.

I am not a strong civ either. Look at the powergraph. Can we please stop the crap? We play 3 vs 8. We are not the best civs. We didn't take any city! We just force people to convert to Islam. And yes, we force the #1 civ who's far ahead of all other civs, to give up one city that's outside his territory anyway, and give it to one of the weakest civs.

Why we do that? Becuase we don't want to make peace with Toni, only to give him time to build up his war machine and attack us 10 turns later and convert back from Islam again. We are already afraid that that's what will happen with Russia anyway.

The diplo spirit from you guys is really pathatic.

Well a bit insulting for my taste - so i will make an compromise and stop talking about last session – lets continue with the game and try to have fun

I don't care about last session.
I care about the future sessions.

Can we all manage to talk in-game-context only?
Or maybe better: can we start to talk in-game-context about the current situation?

                    1. So u want me to gift my 2nd best city Hague which by your words is outside my territory LOL You for real? That was one of my earliest cities - the only one except my cap that has no tudra and desert (or as we say in dutch ****ty land)

                    2. And give it to a nation you are in war with how does that work actually LOL.

                    3. I and that so called small nation have already talked about it - so even that small civ as you say doesn't want the city currently lol

                    4. Next time please do not open saves to see what lays in the unseeable areas, it kills the strategy and all!

I just wanna say how much I love you all, as people!!

                        ---

I just wanna also say that I wanna separate that sentiment from hating or loving rival players/civs in any game

                        ---

I think Frank and I are a role model here. Our relationship is completely mature - as people we converse reasonably; as players we are sometimes rivals and backstabbing bastards; sometimes allies. In this game not so long ago we were enemies and his strategies brought Portugal down from number position. Now we are allies.

(This is quite contrary to what Nolan is saying BTW. The current Jihadist nations have only been allies for a few sessions which is quite different to the vast number of Eastern nations who have had no tensions or rivalry whatsoever the whole game.)

                            1. Well that was at a point when Ethiopia might have come our way and I know Marcus has very different views to you on the Hague issue.

                            2. Well, we are at war now so I don't think it applies now. CS to clarify.

                            3. Remains to be seen

I honestly am not looking forward to next session.
I feel like quiting. I'm currently at pritty bad terms with some people, OOC, and I don't feel like being nice towards them next session.

And I get the feeling that someone among us is a manipulator. Both in the game and outside the game. In the game could be advocated, though I think that it's not really fair to manipulate newbies in-context. But the OOC manipulating is destroying all the fun of me.

It's not really nice to get naughty e-mails from people who are clearly manipulated. I can't blame them, and when I start to blame the manipulator, he'll say I'm wrong.

I simply can't play anymore when someone is manipulating. So count me out for next session, and most probably for the rest of the game.

I'll obviously reconsider this decision every hour from now on, since I'm not a big fan of dropping out of a game.

@Nolan: I'm sorry that we were setted up against each other. I think that you're an awesome woman, and I loved it to play with you.

Please take my advise, don't let others manipulate you!

Manipulating = when someone gives you small gifts (can be in words or in deeds) and requires your 'friendship' for that in return. A manipulator uses others as a shield, he (or she) mostly works behind the scenes, and lets others do the dirty work.
A manipulator makes you feel like you owe something to him, and that you can't do anything else, but back him up.
He makes you feel like he is your friend, but in reality, he tries to make everybody feel like he is their friend, and sets them up against each other.

That's why I'm angry and quiting this game.
Me and Nolan were setted up against each other. I'm sorry for that, Nolan.
