And areas with poor land have fewer civs so hopefully it balances. I can tweak resources too. So you might start in the middle east and have a lot of crappy desert but have a large amount of incense and oil that the rest of the world will need, so you can find riches in other ways.I do not know how World War III will be fought, but i do know that World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I have two questions regarding 'Diplo' games:
1) Is it considered legal to load other player's CIVs and 'look' around, and peruse the advisor's to see what resources, espionage etc ... others have? (I though not)
2) In the Story thread is it proper to put supposed 'secret' to the CIV in question's material, and are we allowed to repost these and in what context? Can we assume 'our' CIV has gained this 'knowledge'?
You see the Incas are very altruistic in their goals - to protect other civilizations from brutes :-). To allow all Peoples to choose their religion - in fact the Incas have been inviting the world to spread their religion to Inca to enrich the heterogeneosity of philosophical ideals. The Incas were the first to allow free religion as a state policy.
More to the point of 'Altruistic' behavior: the Incas have been gifting the less fortunate civilizations technology t assist in giving them a fighting chance to survive against aggressive Civilizations since the beginning of time.
Ok so those should have been in the 'Story' thread - but I am just emphasizing that the Inca are quite Altruistic. Showing great displeasure and concern for what atrocities the Dutch did to the Americas.
My questions are of interest to me of course being a newbie @ diplo games ;-).

2) As long as its in the story thread you can manipulate anything. It's also important that chat dialogs between leaders be seen as p[art of the diplo. Eg When I refer to Arvcran in Yahoo as "Hey Inca" I'm obviously IC. Even if I said "Hey Arv" and then proceeded to make an in-game deal or strategy I'd regard that as IC.
The Portuguese perspective (and spin if you like) is a little different to your altruistic claims OOC
So get more stuff in to the story thread where you can lie and cheat as much as you like IC"Old age and skill will overcome youth and treachery. "
