IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET THAT I INFORM YOU THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY HOTW VII TONIGHT. STORMS HAVE BEEN APPEARING THROUGHOUT MY AREA AND I HAVE LOST POWER (OzzyKP will vouch for me on this).

I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY PEPCO (Lousy American electric company...) THAT DUE TO THE LONG LIST OF PEOPLE WITHOUT POWER, MY NEIGHBORHOOD WILL NOT LIKELY REGAIN POWER UNTIL TOMMOROW MORNING.

I WILL BE LEAVING OUT OF TOWN TOMMOROW AFTERNOON, SO I WILL EXPLAIN MORE WHEN I GET BACK. I HAD TO BUST MY WAY BACK INTO MY OFFICE BEFORE IT CLOSED TO GET MY EMAIL AND TELL YOU ALL THIS MESSAGE. I WILL EXPLAIN MORE WHEN I GET BACK.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? I DO NOT WANT MY ABSENCE TO HALT THE MOMENTUM OF THE GAME!!!! IF IN THE CASE A SUB CANNOT BE FOUND, AI REPLACEMENT WILL BE ACCEPTABLE BY ME FOR THE FIRST SESSION. DO NOT STOP THE GAME IF POSSIBLE!!!! IT'S TIME HAS COME.

MY REGRET AND GRIEF CANNOT BE DESCRIBED IN WORDS. THE ANTICIPATION I BUILT UP FOR THIS, AND THE ENDLESS HOURS I SPENT THINKING ABOUT THIS GAME HAVE BEEN SHATTERED BY A FREAKING STORM.

Yea, my internet has been spotty all night. HOPEFULLY my power won't go out too. But yea, we've definitely had storms around here.

Bad News

Alright, I've finally got my damn internet working in my new house, the only problem is that my actual computer doesn't seem to be able to play Civ IV, I usually used my room-mate's computer to play the game because he's got it hooked up for games and stuff, mine apparently sucks too much.

So for now I think I'm going to have to not play in this game until I get around to fixing the computer up for Civ. I will remain in touch and hopefully I'll be able to play in a timely manner. For now though, I think it'd be best if you guys found a replacement, I don't want the game to be ruined on my account.

(PS I haven't actually tried to put the game on this computer yet, but I have it on pretty good authority that my computer can't handle it right now, I think it has to do with the videocard, so that can be fixed easily.)

Capo, I played Rome today, but on average can only make 1 sesssion in about 4, so best if you can get it worked out by next week, will not know until next friday if I can sub again, but you are in a leading position, be there and make the most of it

Ok, there has been a request for a rule change in the game.

Colonel wants to ban posting and trading screen shots until we invent paper in the game. It would be more realistic and in character he says.

Personally I am in favor of sticking with how we've always done it, which is open season for screen shot posting/trading. But we should put it to a vote.

Paper comes too late for it to be realistic anyway. The scrolls in the Great Library were a form of paper. The romans had maps as well. Paper the tech refers to rag paper I suppose.
