Yeah I know. I do use that feature, but I was thinking of people who don't have AIM yet... Also anyone with a web browser can access the IRC server, and you don't need to know much to use it (AIM stole most of its commands from IRC).

BTW, I'm assuming the most voted slot of HOTW5 is being used for HOTW7?

I'm happy to start later to get Frank in the game as long as we don't lose Europe

If people are that shy about downloading AIM there are web versions of it as well. AIM express for example.

You may as well just have normal tech trading then. This is getting way complicated. Mistakes will definitely be made (as I believe they were when we tested TORT in HOTW5). And when you add subs to the picture...

So it's either normal TT or No TT in my books now.

I now vote for NTT. It has to be controlled by game mechanics. Players will stuff it up otherwise.

The only one that interests me is TORaCT.

It will work if everybody is honest, and states in MP every time a tech is traded.

But deity has a point, so I'm a little bit inclined to agree about just putting NTT.

I think the TORT test went very good in HOTW5, though I believe that we should instruct the subs better indeed (which is a lesson we learned)

NTT ruins the game. For sure when you want to have a diplogame, by giving less trade options you remove much 'diplo' from the game.

agree with cyber. I'll go for just about anything that can get something of a majority as I am of the opinion that we can test something out and learn from those experiences in future games.

also. it should be mentioned that it ISN'T that complicated to keep a piece of paper next to your keyboard and cross off how many times you've traded it. and considering that we're playing marathon we wont really get that many techs per session anyway. if people are willing to make a small effort for the sake of gameplay I think we're gonna have more fun.
