Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
He's got some U2 spy airplanes flying over the major cities of the world taking pictures of buildings
I suggest all players to keep their U2 spyplanes on the ground from now on. I wonder if someone could restrict him (or her) self if (s)he sees that someone is about to finish a worldwonder (s)he's working on as well but won't be able to finish earlier then the spied on person.
Just to name one example.

eh... a wonder under construction wont show up on the map. so no way of telling. btw. dragon. you should post something in the HOTW V thread. you should get involved in the roleplaying (i need a little french support, maybe...)
I hope you don't mind that I posted your PM in the story thread. A lot of times in diplogames the deal making and diplomacy is one of the best things about the game and helps liven up the game to post it publically and get everyone else involved. Of course there is always time for private correspondance when working out details of a truly secret deal. But otherwise, things like our exchange I think is great material for public display.
You've definately got a lot of great writing skill, share it with the world.
As for the wonders... it doesn't show anything about who is building what. On the wonders screen it will list wonders that YOU are building, but not wonders that others are building. And there is no information on the map screen either.
Of course for the clever player with 'spy networks', there are ways of finding out if people are building wonders.... like when they request we wait 5 turns because of "something special".......

1. I'm just making sure that nobody will load the game and login as someone else during the week, and try to find out the strength of the army of the enemy or the techs he's already researched. That's quiet easy, but it ruins the game. Information that can be used by legal means are fine of course. Though I'm really wondering how one can ever get legal ideas of who's building obelisks.
2. I'll publish my PM's later or after the game.
Somethings are there to be kept a secret. PM diplomacy is one of them, imho. I have no problems with you publishing it, since you apparantly have an in-game problem with me, and therefor you wanted to -in game- publish my personal letter. (which I've sent to the russians as well, btw)
3. I wonder who's reading it anyway Unless you're involved of course.

Don't worry, I'd never load someone else's civ. Never have, never will.
And I don't know what people are building, but I know what they've built.
For example, if you load up your save and you zoom in on Berlin you will see the same thing I would. If you are attentive you will be able to pick out completed buildings.

Frank just reminded me of something in the other thread. In past diplogames tech trading reaches a frenzy which not only rapidly speeds up the pace of the game but in some ways really changes the dynamic of the game drastically. Its starting to already in our game.
I'm wondering whether we should consider limiting tech trading in the game somehow, or maybe even banning it outright.
Thoughts?

I was having money problems, even with 3 cities (after I lost that one to barbs), I want to keep my research rate above 80%, and all I know is that courthouses reduce maintenance costs by 50%. After building them, no more money problems...what am I doing wrong? Maybe it wasn't necessary now, but in the long run, after two or three cities more, it will be imperative. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, when I said we needed Courthouses I only meant for the new colonies. Sorry if I misled you

Well, I can't wait to start using passwords again (when the bugs are all ironed out)...
It eliminates any suggestion of cheating.

I'm against changing rules mid-game but let's have the discussion for the next game.
A diplo game must surely have tech trading - a key element of diplomacy. It's up to all of us how we use it and some of us are still a bit green here. As the game wears on we may see tech blocs and even wars because of it.

I've just been thinking about a few session rules.
I propose that if a minimum of 6 players are available to play, we play.
No disrespect to anyone, but if one or two players arrive late or leave early we still should play a minimum session length. I propose a minimum of 4 hours, even if someone goes early, we play on.
