  • Something I forgot to post about before.

    Is it intentional that an Anti-Aircraft unit can bombard if it is being carried on a transport vessel.

    I have used them to good effect to weaken land based troops (20% per turn), before sending in my marines. Sometimes they can wipe out an already weakened unit.

      To late for me, russia is on strike and starving the country to death :desire:. I was actually on the road to victory, raided 6 german cities and all I get is the culture of the city tile itself. the WW concept is quit stupid for a war scenario, you can smash anything in your border without a penalty but never do it behind enemy lines, it should be the opposite.

      • I've settled on these colours.

        Note the marine, AA and paratrooper are multi-coloured for multi-domain.

            What about artillary (green with blue insert) as it can fire at both land and sea units.

              • I install it but it's weird because i can't play germany, I don't see the cities in the map except mines and every civilisation start with 10000 points!!

                • In the folder ..\Beyond the Sword\Mods\The Road to War\ you may see another folder called "add-on pack 1" or something similar. Move ALL files from that folder to the "The Road to War" folder. There's a small bug in the installer, my humblest apologies.

                    • When I go up the difficulty levels I see that my allies (AXIS) are also getting stronger.
                      I think it should be the opposite side

                      about the PBEM file - I cant load it. The game freeze when I try.

                        I thought I saw victory conditions somewhere, and I thought they listed Germany bieng defeated as one. I can't find where I saw them, but if there are supposed to be vic conditions they don't work. As both sides I have to conquer all the Axis or Allies to win.

                        As Russia this was basically impossible to complete with the scenario as is. I just stopped playing after I took out Germany and still didn't win. With the current WW settings and the maintenence penalty, along with the fact that UK and US took leterally no land frmo the Axis I can't possbilly control all that land with one civ.

                          I faced the same problem. I read smwhere that Germany and UK have to be defeated but it is actually Axies and Allies

                          • I agree that the government system needs to be balanced in the historic mode. The facism system is very strong. It has low upkeep for units and makes it easy to control the WW, with this combination you never have any big inflation problems, in open play I defeated the whole world quit easy with the scenario facism settings. The allies needs a similar government with some adjustments of the distance penalty, focused on UK which already starts on three continents.

                                It's actually the UK and German teams (which equates to the Axis and Allies).
