If he is the last to move, the flashing end turn button will remain green also, so you don't know if there are more units to move. The only way to get through this it to either give him the same order again (in which case it will instead clear his order and then you have to give him the order a third time) or you have to click on some other unit and give it an order.

There are other little quirky new bugs with giving units orders after they have no moves left, like fortifying units in cities after you have skipped their turn.
Pressing Ctrl+A moves all queued orders. Esp. useful in multiplayer with timed turns.

I don't know if it's connected, but I'm seeing some graphical (textual, really) glitches as well. Instead of "do you really want to declare war? Yes/No" I get something like "TEXT_WAR_YES or TEXT_WAR_NO." There are several similar glitches all over the place.

The Carthaginians are currently my vassals, but why that should give them a right to cities which are 100% mine I don't know. Is there some espionage mission that would cause this?
During one of my games, I captured 5 cities from the Americans, and then forced them to Capitulate. For the next few hundred years, randomly 1 of the 5 cities I captured would "Rightfully like to rejoin the American Empire". Well interspersed in there 2 of my other cities, that I founded way before the war with America, but were on an island close by, also gave the same "We Rightfully request to re-join the American Empire." Re-Join???? They were never a part of it in the first place. Nor was their Cultural border even touching the American border.

        • In my latest game, I captured an ex-Aztec city that was currently owned by the Vikings. It was announced that the Aztecs had recaptured the city and it was given to them.

i have had this same error, as well as a similar one where cities wanted to rightfully rejoin civs that they had never been a part of in the first place.

Is that there one o' them new espy-o-nagee tricks?

I think all cities should rightfully rejoin MY empire.

Yeah, I have this problem whenever I play above Monarch level. It may take a few hundred turns, but it's pretty much automatic. :-/

                • i didnt read this thread so i dont know if this has been stated already, but...

since you now need sailing to connect rivers to your trade routes, why is it that i can still connect all my resources that are next to rivers without roads? i understand that i cannot connect my cities, with rivers, but i am still able to connect adjacent resources...?

meh, i dont really give a crap if this is fixed or not, it is just not logical or realistic in any way. kind of like the maintenence system.

                  • BTS arrived today. I have installed and patched it and I've also added Solver's unofficial patch.

I'm having crashes most of the time I try to use the Civilopedia. I was looking specifically at the Dutch Dike/Levee in the 'Beyond the Sword Concepts' section. Either I get punted back to desktop for clicking the Dutch Dike link, or for clicking the Levee link on the Dutch Dike page. Or, they're both fine the first time and I get punted for re-entering the Civilopedia and repeating the above.

As far as I can tell this doesn't happen if I pick Civilopedia from the main menu, only while I'm actually playing. I have tried with the game DLL I backed up before adding Solver's patch, it crashes too.

Edit: I've also tried clearing cache and starting a new game, that has no effect either. Oh well, I know what they do now, I guess I won't need to look at those entries

                    • Did you patch it to 3.03?

There are reports of this happening since 3.03:

Hey Gang, I'm not sure if this issue existed BEFORE v3.03, but I can consistently crash the game if I goto any UU or UB and hit the link to the unit or building this Civ specific unit or building replaces. So if I got the Apothecary and hit the Grocer link the game crashes but if I just...

                        • I patched to 3.03 so I guess it's maybe something to do with the patch.

                          • For the first time ever Civ4 crashed on my computer. I updated the games today via Civ4- BTW in game updating utility.

I received this warning when I crashed:
"failed to allocate video memory" It's strange since I got 192Mbytes of VRAM.

                              • Sounds like it is a good idea not to install the latest patch, at least as long as you don´t have any problems with the game at the moment
