BTS Bugs?

I haven't installed Blue Marble. I had it installed on CIV and Warlords, but I assume it got wiped when I deinstalled CIV and Warlords, then reinstalled.

This is the second time I've installed BtS.

edit: crap, I just tried Warlords and the same problem is popping up. Sigh. I shall (once again!) deinstall/reinstall.

CIV reinstall successful (took two tries, though. "Catastropic failure" the first time).

Warlords and BtS, however, not so much. Catastrophic failure, baby. Oh yeah.

I take it that this is likely my system. Wonderful. Maybe it's my CD-ROM drive. The thing has made painful noises for years now.

I just encountered a serious bug in the Crossroads of the World mod. As soon as I start a game I'm automatically defeated.

since i installed bts been getting random ctd & sytem lockups while playing. has nothing to do with time of play.

I just wanted to say thanks to those who offerred their advice. I'm pretty sure my CD-ROM drive is a long way from right, but nevertheless I *finally* got the game properly installed and it's working fine

I ordered a new drive anyway.

All the failed installations (I still don't have Warlords back on my machine yet) seem to point the finger at my CD drive. That it finally worked last night is vaguely miraculous.

Perhaps it was one of those BtS random events.

Hmm, a couple of my cities captured from the Vikings (who are no more) "quite rightly" are asking to join the Carthaginian empire. The city tiles in question are both 100% for my civ (Dutch) and as far as I can tell neither has ever been owned by the Carthaginians.

The Carthaginians are currently my vassals, but why that should give them a right to cities which are 100% mine I don't know. Is there some espionage mission that would cause this?

In my current game, i found the following:

- Mensa has founded Judaism and switched to Organized Religion - yet on tech screen it says, he CAN research Monotheism (and thats like thousands of years later).

- With my first caravels on see, i located the sumerians. Both of us have not yet discovered alphabet, but yet exchanging techs seems to be no problem.

I just paused playing that game, being puzzled and confused...

Do you have Choose Religion on? Judaism could have been picked instead of Buddhism or Hinduism.

I researched liberalism way after I had adopted free religion in my last game. But, you see, there is this WONDER that allows you to adopt any of the religious civics.

No - i dont have choose religion on... at least not, if its not set so by default...
