I'm so psyched about all the changes to the existing traits, let alone the new leaders. I almost feel like I can't play civ4 now until the expansions out... like I'm missing out on something!

Cyrus with Charismatic is almost like cheating. Immortals in the early game already devastate AIs. The only real protection for the AI is in Spearmen, and you can easily rush the AI in a way to prevent them from hooking metals up - heck, you can do it before they discover Bronze Working.
With Charismatic, it becomes easier to give your Immortals Flanking II or Combat III, whatever suits you best. I think that not even Caesar (both of them) can do as much to the AIs early on.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Nope, I can't say anything that is not public info. I can discuss the traits and buildings that have been announced, but I can't tell you about the stuff that's not been posted elsewhere.
At least I will probably publish my review here shortly after release, with detailed analysis and thoughts.

However, a large number of people have come to the conclusion that the Roman Forum does something different to what the IGN preview says it does. The preview describes it as giving a boost to birth rate - generic population or great people points?

Aside from how the new game elements play out, is there really that much that hasn't been announced?
To be honest, I don't really remember what has and hasn't been announced. New info seems to come out pretty often, I don't read those previews as they're not very interesting if you have the game, so I get confused.
I may be mistaken, but I think that details on vassalage have not been published anywhere. I'm also not sure if the actual benefits of a Warlord have been revealed?
As for the Forum then, I can clarify, it's a mistake... it boosts great people. Funny, a vanilla Civ4 preview also mixed those up - said tat Philosophical gives +100% birth rate, IIRC.

I haven't played with all the civs, but I really liked the Mint and the Forum. Mali's trait combo is my favorite one anyway, and the Mint on top of that is good stuff.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Anyway, can you confirm the question about weather barracks is changed to +3 XP instead of +4?

I asked a question. I decided that it is unlikely to be public domain which Solver can't answer so I deleted it. I haven't been able to get the delete function to work in the edit screen.LandMasses Version 3 Now Available since 18/05/2008.
