OK. Let's not let Shogun Gunner hijack this thread and distract us with AoE. This is a ciV wish list.

Hehe... Okay. But I doubt it's any reason to make a Civ5 wish list this early. What we should concentrate on, is patches and addons, that's what we'll get the next years. And remember, Firaxis already has two Lists to work on, and lots of ideas from there are either not implemented, or only partly implemented.

I totally agree. And bring the Skunkworks back from SMAC. Allow us to create our own UU at least!

Well, why not discuss things for an expansion pack rather than a new game?

An expansion pack might be just one or maybe two years away. A new Civ is at least 3 or 4 years off, perhaps more.

Hm....Lets just say......In the year 4000 B.C. my leaders name is....Bob.....he lives throughout the ages, when 2000 A.D. arrives his hair is just a little grey/white, but he is still kicking! Something kinda funny 'bout that don't 'ya say? I mean Methuselah only lived 969 yrs, which is not quite 6000 yrs.

of course if ya changed leaders every generation or two or three then at the beginning of the game you would have to change leaders sometimes more than once in a turn, so i don't quite know how they would incorporate that....maybe, just maybe, i should shut up!

I don't know if there is a way around that. That is just civ. Work on your suggestion. You have time.

In all fairness, if you're going to have a retro Civ2 option, then you need a retro Civ1 option! After all Civ1 is the game that started it all...

i know some people are sold on the looks of things, buti jsut want a game that i can play without it having to have the latest computer graphics card and such and that doesnt crash playing on huge maps. i sohuld be able t omake the world bigger with more citiys and i could do it if they got rid of the crazy extra graphical stuff.

I want the Santa special unit during Christmas so that on Chistmas Eve night I can use my reindeer to take Santa to foreign cities and put bombs in their stockings; and for my allies I can put weapons in the presents under the trees.
On a serious note, I am sure it has been mentioned many times but...to have cities break away from their country to establish a new nation, not become part of an already existing nation, (i.e. 13 british colonies, became the USA). Maybe this could occur if your farthest cities are not happy enough, etc. If I am not mistaken, French Guiana, a few islands, and Canada are the only nations in the Western Hemisphere that are still greatly influence by France and the UK; most others completely became independent.

Retro Civ1 is already in Civ4.

                              Expanded city radius

Make it so a city can work more tiles as it becomes bigger, based on the population in the city.

This will decrease the urge to build more cities.

How about a rally point like in Age of empires so that in late game you could have units made indefinately and they would work their way to a single point.

Please forgive me if this is already in the game. I keep getting the freeze thing like a lot of gamers and really can't play the game right now due to it.
