    No.

Animal Husbandry just allows people to domesticate animals. It does not mean that people had no idea of what horses might be good for before that.

They could at least eat the meat, you know.

            That's also a no.

Some copper mines could be really close to the surface of the ground, and IIRC some might exist in elemental form. I have not heard of iron and uranium being in elemental form or near surface of the ground.

Besides, Bronze Working is not about finding copper - but finding uses for copper. Copper is a bit soft unless you make it into bronze. People knew about copper long before that.

But they're not used in the game for meat, they're used to produce mounted units. So this is irrelevant. After all, copper was used by humans as early as 10,000 BC, but the game is referring to its military use for the copper working advance.

So, for consistency's sake, having horses appear with animal husbandry is most appropriate.

                    Woo 1st 1.09 bug!

When you capture a city its cultural border is reset to 1 tile (same as 1.00).

The previous owner retains control of the rest (did not happen in 1.00)

No matter what you do, the border will never expand, even when you get multiple messages saying it did.

I even sent in a Great Artist to expand it. Failed miserably.

I had some pretty bad tech sharing issues with Permanent Alliance in v1.08... I'll check what happens in 1.09 and report back.

...and my friend and i try our first post patch game, which worked pre patch, and we get a fabulous flashing out of sync error!

                          gg.

edit: and the same on a fresh game. we're both going to reinstall tomorrow - i have no patience for this tonight.

                          my faith is waning.
