It's probably been mentioned, but, the Ironworks national wonder doesn't seem to work. It will display the +50%/+100% in the city screen but it doesn't actually get added to your production. Also, I've noticed that farms don't always 'carry' irrigation, and their seems to be a problem with plains not giving extra food after biology. Instead of the (farm) button showing +2 food, it'll show +1 farm, +1 irrigation and I'll only get a total of 2 food on the plains square, instead of 3.

I don't get the option to build the Space Elevator anywhere, and I can't figure out why. Probably not a bug, just something I've missed and/or poor documentation."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

a semi-bug, but:
in civ3 you could delete the intro-movies and it wouldn't bug you anymore. in civ4 you get an error message about "movies not installed correctly" and it waits for a certain timeout and the mouse is not visible.
it would be nice to be able to free up those 105k for the intro movies, so please make them deletable or have an option that removes them... or worst case: which XML file to edit for this- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

* Global view sometimes unusable, as cloud layer replaced with graphical corruption.

* Wonder videos rarely work, usually just displaying graphical corruption and looping sound.
* Gameplay is fine.
Tested with all three in-game Anti-Aliasing settings, and all other graphical settings on High.

yes, you are right 105MB... and i can also spare those. for me it's more about having faster launch times and less resolution changes to my screen (it ofter f's up my desktop icons)- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

16 pages! so apologies if already noted:
not bugs as such, just not optimal effects,
- catapult bombardment -> focus moves to next unit before animation complete.
- combat -> result can be seen in unit stats before the animation begins. Shouldn't be shown until after, just to give the feeling that anything can happen.
- combat animation -> defender moves to attacker instead of other way around. This aint right!

demon rob: your third point is not always the case. archery units and siege weapons attack from distance so the defender will have to come out to fight...- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

sorry if it has been already mentioned,
when commanding a settler the overlay changes to display food hammer and commerce resources of the tiles. when i examined pictures posted by others, i have realized that this overlay clearly indicates what is available but mine are always scrambled not giving the idea what the tile is producing. maybe it is my lousy geforce2 mx400, but i hope the patch will fix it so i can decide city placements better.

I have had severe problems with this game, and I think it's incredible that the producers list minimum requirements, and you can't in any possible way play the game with only those!
I have been able to play a few times, but all the last times I've tried to start the game, it doesn't start AT ALL. It just crashes my computer, which restarts and runs a disc scan. Here are some of my problems I've experienced:
- When I start the game, the start-up phase screen comes with the 'initializing graphics', 'setup map', 'setup players' etc. Usually, sometime during this phase the screen goes in black and computer restarts. Sometimes I get by this screen and the game is nearly started - I reach the black screen with the start info box - and then the computer crashes.
- Several in game crashes, usually when wonder movies are about to be played.
- I can't load a saved game! When I try, the game crashes like when I try to start a new one.
- If I get to load the saved game, play is EXTREMELY sluggish when I press for next turn. Have to wait for up to 30 or even 45 minutes for first turn shift! In late game, system crashes at this phase. I can see that the computation time for science incrase and worker progression is about 10 seconds, after that there's virtually no HD activity!?
- When I try to change graphics settings, game crashes. I can't start a play in frozen animation mode, single unit mode or effects disabled mode.
- When I play, map shroud doesn't work properly. At first, entire map is black, with only terrain features (river, forest etc.) showing through on black. Once game is in play, shroud will very slowly dissappear.
- Sometimes, uninstalling and reinstalling the game has worked, but this does not seem to me like a proper approach.
I'm really at a loss with which approch I should take to get the game running. I feel like I've tried virtually everything without success. And the Support Center haven't responded to my mail send 4 days ago.

Here's a weird one, playing an IP game last night when my friend noticed that his first city wasn't growing. Still size one and all. The growth bar indicated that there was a surplus and that growth would happen in one turn, but we spent a few minutes cycling through turns, it never grew.
He eventually just decided to build a settler from his size one city, and the next one grew normally... but the capital is still size one.

Space Elevator Bug?
Hi,
My whole group of friends playing this game is discovering the same problem:
When the proper technology is researched, the space elevator wonder is not available to build in many of our cities (usually our better cities).
It will build fine in most of our junk cities or conquered cities. There are no apparent missing prerequisites listed anywhere in the game, manual, or civilopedia to explain why it cannot be built in the better cities. It's not a national wonder, and even if it was, the problem happens even when the desired city has not produced its limit of 2 national wonders.
I have also had similar problems with other wonders not showing up on the build list for no apparent reason, but usually saving/re-loading the game fixes the problem with anything but the space elevator. =(
