Kicking the tar out of any one of the little states that gets infected by liberalism after the '48 revolutions.

I would say play with vanilla. It sure makes it easier with revolutions, but vanilla is so much more fun. Come on, the hole fun of a game in this period is the process of industrialization, and just giving away that aspect of the game to the capitalists in your provinces, makes Victoria just a generic EU-HOI-game. Vanilla, on the other hand, is actually a bit like the excellent Imperialism.
