  • Victoria AAR.

I was reading through some of the old threads, and I'd like to start up an AAR. However, I'd like it to be interactive, the choices and decisions that I make would be up to the posters here.

For starters, I'll play any nation tossed at me.

So, you know you want to, pick one, and I'll have a go at it.

    Revolutions or Vanilla?

May I suggest Prussia? (Many Countries like Japan require you to exactly know the EventChains which might complicate Things)
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

      Vanilla 1.04. I don't have revolutions.

I have a fair bit of experience with Vicky. The event chains for Japan wouldn't faze me, I would certainly be willing to take a shot at Japan if that's the one you'd really be interested in having an AAR done.

Pick something simple so you don't get bogged down and its relatively easy for those of us who haven't seen the game to have some comprehension about whats going on.

Playing vanilla is pure self flogging. Do yourself a favour and get Rev. It cost only ~10 USD.

Yeah, that bad. Rev made the game much, much better IMHO.

From the list of new features:

New features of “Victoria – Revolutions” include:

                    * 15 extra years of game play. Lead your nation through the challenging interwar period!
                    * An expanded tech tree to cover the interwar period, including aircrafts and carriers.
                    * A DOOMSDAY converter which allows players to continue their game in “Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday”.
                    * A revamped election and politics system, adding a new level of realism to the game.
                    * An overhauled military system, which will be linked with the player’s policy decisions.
                    * A new economic system that brings more realism through various economic models.

The most important change for me, was that capitalists now are useful. They build railroads and factories if they earn enough money, which can easily be done by low rich taxes, low tariffs and the right techs.

I was good at Victoria. If the changes make it more complicated, I'll suck probably

what are some thoughts as to gamestyle?

                          Prussia has numerous options open.

                          1. German Unification the historical way. Follow the chain.

                          2. Popular revolution, a liberal Prussia forms Germany

                          3. Conservative revolution, a conservative prussia forms Germany.

                          4. Prussia goes at it alone. Prussia, for whatever reason, forgoes forming Germany.

                          5. WC.

                          6. Some other creative varient that I can devise.
