The last time it was attempted to be utilized, the late lamented Marvin Fisher, never the brightest of sorts, had to send in his orders quickly; unfortunately, 49/0/1 49/0/1 0/0/0 does not accomplish much, and when his opponent used the standard 10/10/30 10/10/30 0/0/0, he did not last the round... afterwards, he was found wandering across the park, muttering to himself ... attack defense POWER, attack defense POWER ...

Code works fine if you manage it properly Just make sure to break your lines more frequently. Or, put your text into a div or something with a fixed width of <800px...
edit: No, that's not the answer, < pre > is the problem. So, use < /pre> to kill the pre but keep the blockquote!
Code:
This should work fine, for example, even though it is really long, because it's in a div of fixed width, which shouldn't be allowed to go overboard. In theory, anyway. It's too bad Code is a poorly functioning tag in vB2 ...
edit2: Hmm, even that's not a complete answer, because even adding back the pre tag with a white-space order to wrap, it doesn't seem to keep the nice font. Annoying.
edit3: It works for IE, but not FF, to add in a font-family:monospace to it. I wonder if < pre > just doesn't behave in FF properly...
