  • Still need the last set where I KO Snoopy...
    I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

                • Match 5: Round 1

The owner of the rig managed to quell the growing riot by paying for the drinks during today's match. Although this did not actually lead to a significant increase in drinking, the roustabouts acted far more riotous than usual. Perhaps this was a psychological response rather than a physical one: The masses knew that they
could drink as much as they wanted to, and although most of them drank no more than average, they acted like they were soused before the match had even started. The man who looked like Hugo Chavez wearing a fake beard and sunglasses pondered this while drinking a free beer just before the start of match 5.

                  Code:
                  [b]The Doctor vs. Ludd[/b]
Ludd stomped into the ring with cheers and jeers from the crowd. He had gained the reputation that he was invincible, and many of the gamblers were betting on another tie. The Doctor had a cunning plan to take down the brute: attack his exposed skin without getting walloped himself. The Doctor waited for the right opportunity([b]1:Tie!(0)[/b]), and let Ludd attack first. Ludd swung one of his mammoth arms at The Doctor's head, but The Doc ducked just in time. ([b]1:Miss![/b]) The Doctor stood up quickly and stabbed Ludd through the cheek. ([b]2:Hit!(2)[/b]) Ludd started to wail, tried to pound The Doctor into the ground but missed repeatedly.([b]1,2:Miss![/b]) The Doctor, knowing he had the match won if he didn't get hurt, kept his distance. ([b]3:Tie!(0)[/b])
                  [b]The Doctor: 100 HP Ludd: 98 HP[/b]

The crowd jeered Felchum as he entered, the odds were so stacked against him they prayed he would not pull out an upset.

                  Code:
                  [b]Felchum vs. Spacius Maximus[/b]
Each gladiator struck at the same time, and parried each other's blows. The blades ricocheted cutting each opponent on the foot.([b]1:Hit!(1)[/b])([b]1:Hit!(1)[/b]) This disheartened Felchum([b]2:Miss![/b]), and he didn't see Spacius sword heading towards his shoulder. Luckily, Felchums armor blunted the blow and his shoulder was only dislocated, ([b]2:Hit!(35)[/b]) which was better than a severed arm. Felchum hit Spacius with his shield, creating a bruise([b]3:Hit!(1)[/b]) but the manuaver left him open to another attack. Spacius jabbed him in the liver causing bile and blood to spill out of his body.([b]3:Hit!(27)[/b])
                  [b]Felchum: 37 HP Spacius Maximus: 98 HP[/b]

The battle between first and fourth was next, making this fight particularly interesting since the participants would face each other in the semi-finals if the standings held.

                  Code:
                  [b]Theben vs. Snoopy[/b]
Theben had watched Snoopy's tactics closely in the previous matches and knew he couldn't let Snoopy have any room to run. To this end, he grabbed Snoopy's arm and refused to let go. Snoopy struggled to escape and in the process dislocated his own shoulder.([b]1:Hit!(11)[/b]) He then used his dagger and cut Theben's arm causing him to release his grip.([b]1:Hit!(11)[/b]) Neither gladiator attacked for a few minutes as they addressed their wounds.([b]2:Miss![/b])([b]2:Miss![/b]) Then Theben feinted to Snoopy's left and Snoopy reacted by going right; right into Theben's sword.([b]3:Hit!(26)[/b]) Snoopy lashed at Theben's throat but aimed too high, hitting his chin instead.([b]3:Hit!(11)[/b]) The horn blew and the match ended.
                  [b]THeben: 78 HP Snoopy: 63 HP[/b]

                      • There is no question, #4. Certain individuals have certain fighting styles which would no longer work if everyone knew what they were.

And generally speaking, if you know your own ADP and see what your opponent did to you, you can usually figure it out.
