The PC is still the place for WoW and co at the moment. But it can't be long before the first really big (worldwide) console MMO comes out.

There are already precedents on a smaller scale.

I also like how it assumes Xbox 360s are sold at a loss still. Poorly researched, obviously.

I bet a squazillion pounds that MS is developing the successor to the 360. Also, Sony's next system wont be such a financial burden if they don't build holographic super-HD media playback capabilities into a games console.

Good point but how dumbed down are MMO's going to have to get to be placed on consoles?

Maybe dumb enough for the mindless masses but certainly not for me.

WoW isn't really a complex game. Only issue is control schemes, but designers are pretty smart at using controllers to the max.

We'll see a big console MMO within the next few years I think.

ps3 graphics are going to look pretty dated in 2015.
