and I'm with Asher: OoT, while fun and an amazing game, was wildly overrated. Link to the Past was the better Zelda game, IMO.

I don't have a hatred of Nintendo. I just think OOT was overrated.

My favourite game of all time was Mario 64. And I don't think any other game can take its place, just because it was one of those transcendent games for me. It was a bit of an open world game, the freedom I felt in that game was immensely refreshing. It was downright fun, even the intro screen where you could manipulate Mario's face...

But now that I'm much older and cynical, I don't think any game I play can bring back the feeling that Christmas morning where I played Mario 64.

But yeah, OOT wasn't nearly as good. It had great production values, but it was just kind of slow and boring for me nonetheless. I'm not its biggest fan, and I disagree with its reviews.

Thinking about it, the game that I came closest to experiencing that Mario 64 feeling with was when I first played Halo in November 2001. It was co-operative with my brother, and driving the warthog around in co-op was amazingly fun, the DD5.1 surround, and the graphics at the time were amazing.

much to my chagrin, I have to disagree with Imran. I can think of a good half dozen nintendo games that I find more fulfilling than GTAIV. Maybe it will get better? I'm only a few hours and missions in...

Frankly, I'll take GTAIII or VC over any Nintendo game. Actually I may take it over any game. I consider the GTA series after GTAIII to be the greatest games of all time, closely followed by the Civ series.

GTAIV is looking like it'll be better than III so far.
