I've officially made up my mind and am getting the 360 version.

This is a quote from a Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 developer on B3D:

We just got both versions here at work and did a/b comparisons on an lcd tv. Lighting seems more or less similar on both, but the resolution difference is glaringly obvious. the PS3 version is clearly running at a lower resolution. We looked at similar locations back to back and the stair stepping on the PS3 version is much worse, so much so that I couldn't help but notice it everywhere. I seriously doubt the PS3 version is running at 720p, it appears to be significantly less. Anyways, I'm glad I did the comparison myself instead of trusting the magazine reviews. After seeing both in action its a no brainer to me, getting the 360 version today.

The colors are the same across both platforms. They use the same color space and assets.

I think you're complaining about the contrast/brightness settings more than anything else, which are in-game settings.

Ignore the brightness differences, but check out the difference in stairs.

The stairs are much better in the 360 ver, obviously.

But negative points for changing the attendant's shirt from white to pink. wtf.



The bridge shot ps3 version looked like it was angled slightly, causing the bridge to jag crazily.

All of the ps3 shots (from you and elsewhere) to me seemed a bit more blurry than the 360 ones. I probably couldn't tell much of a difference if you didn't have them side by side, honestly-just not sharp enough eyes/experience/desire.

I just bought the 360 version from the new "flagship" EB in Canada right next to my work. It's about 5-6x size of normal EBs...

They still had a pile of 300+ left. Apparently it was a VERY crazy day.

I asked which one sold more, he said the 360 by about 2-1.

I don't see how the PS3 version was any more angled.

To me it's a classic case of lack of AA for polygonal complex thin objects. The jagged lines turn into a jagged mess on top of eachother.

We have a couple 360s at work, but I'm not going to play GTA4 here. I'll play it a bit tonight, though not too much since I need to finish a Sins of a Solar Empire game with the boy.

EB games I don't like them since they refused to sell me Civ 4.

If I decide to pick up this game, it's at Best Buy

I've got major issues with every retailer that sells video games. I just buy from the closest one.
