Speaking of Xboxes, new SKUs for the holidays:

* October 9: The Xbox 360 Pro package will come with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance as pack-ins. The games will be in one case, similar to the Sega GT 2002/Jet Grind Radio Future combo disc that was packed-in with the original Xbox for a time, but in this case each game will come on its own DVD.
* October 23: The Elite will get the same package. No price drops on either system, you just get two free games with it.
* New Xbox Core Sku "at the end of October" that will include a new version of the system with an HDMI port, wireless controller, 256MB memory card, and five arcade games on a physical disc. The games will be Boom-Boom Rocket, Pac-man, Uno, Feeding Frenzy, and Luxor 2. This package is expected to retail for the normal Core price of $279.99.

1) Verto does not act in a systematic way

Apparently it's hard to get ahold of brand new consoles for refurbishments due to the holiday retail buildup.

The good news is the new console has the new motherboard + HDMI, whenever it gets here.

I got the Halo 3 360 (for HDMI) and I think it's got the new chips too, since it's not loud at all.

And re: the new chips, apparently the 65nm chips are out in the wild. Some have them, some don't. By the end of holiday all will have them.

You found it easy to use, I found it frustrating, inaccurate, and unreliable. That kind of **** is fine for a casual Wii game where you're playing fake bowling, but when you're playing a real FPS game -- no!

have you tried re4, specifically? The controls are quite better than earlier wii attempts. Its really fluid to aim by pointing.

That's the one that I got. Premium + hdmi. I wish I had more hd space, after downloading a few things though, I didn't realize how much space the os takes up. Should have got an elite.

Would be nice if you could find more than a handful of fun games that aren't just about mowing down hordes of enemies.
