  • its a pity that luck may be the ultimate decider of godo over evil.

I not convinved it is Mrs Tubs, except for her behaviour of random guessing ( agood mafia trick) i still believe the only clue from last kill was the rope . so the tight rope walker looks deadly..

Not sure why you insist on waiting for someone else. If you really wanted to rig the coin toss I am sure you could have, but I seriously doubt any one of us suspect that, so why not just do the update, let us know who is dead and move on?

      Just my two cents.

        • Gypsy Fortune’stellar

          Gypsy, gypsy, dancing feet
          Gypsy, gypsy, bittersweet
          Screamer, dreamer, disarray
Gypsy, gypsy, why did you fly away

Gypsy tried the old fortune teller routine, but some of the group thought it was actually her. So it came down to a tie between Gypsy and Ajax. ‘Ok I’ll toss a coin’ I said. So I tossed a coin. ‘ I forecast it’s heads’ said Gypsy . The coin took forever coming down but assisted by some free spirits it did eventually. It was tails.

So Gypsy climbed into the cannon with her crystal ball and pack of cards. Jules fired the cannon and Gypsy sailed past the moon, waving a farewell to Jules.

We buried Gypsy where she landed and the elephants packed the earth. I planted a lot of seeds on her grave so that someday someone could sing. ‘ Everything’s coming up roses…’ . we thought she would have liked that.

‘He'd fly through the air with the greatest of ease,
That daring young man on the flying trapeze.
His movements were graceful, all girls he could please
And my love he purloined away’.

We were in deep shock from these recent dreadful events. First we’d lost a useful source of income for the circus, second we’d lost a trick horse rider, third we’d lost an interesting entertainer, fourth we lost an extra pair of hands for feeding the animals and clearing up afterwards. Fifth we lost a friend. Jules especially missed her even though he banged her into the sky. Just as well the next venue was the last in the tour. We were heading to Hope, Maine and the main hope was staying alive. These deaths were a stain on my reputation.

Eventually we arrived and with Jules, Charles and Ajax’s help with the hydraulic press we got the Big Top erected.

I gathered the team together. We’ll have to re-organize the show. We’ll put Xia in after Jules again. Then I can go out with the horses. Ajax can do a tumbling routine. Charles can take the elephants. I’ll try a spell as a lion tamer.

In the second half, same order as last time but without Alfredo and Gypsy , of course, sadly.

During a break we talked about missing our planned visit to The Barnum Museum to see the scale model of the 5 ring circus and miniature carriages of one of the famous circus pairs, Nutt and Tom Thumb. And of course Baby Bridgeport , the elephant. Next time maybe.

The band began at ten to six with ‘There’s no business like show business’ and the show ran as planned. It went well, the elephants, with Charles, typed out the usual GEBBEG and at one point looked as if they were going for D, but didn’t. In the second half Charles stole the show, carrying Ajax and Xia in bins at the end of his balancing pole, across the high wire. We just survived with a profit that night.

I went with the takings to the security safe and couldn’t believe it that the safe had been broken into and the last set of five sabres had been stolen. I was worried.

I called the others. We searched.

Jules found half the sabres. He was half naked, hanging by his neck, from his leotard, from the trapeze. The top half of the sabres pierced his extremities. Xia gasped. The bottom half lay in pieces in the ring. We put them in the bin. Another star performer dead.

We buried Jules in his leotard and the elephants stamped the ground. We laid a mattress on top. We thought he would have liked that.

Thankfully the circus was closing for the season, but we knew we couldn’t let this matter rest. I asked those remaining to choose

                            • Well i must say i am pretty stumped. I cant see many clues at all.

I did see some clues earlier in game that sort of pointed to me i think as the player here who ususly does the most typos i thought Herc was making it a bit too obvious with the Elephants mad typing.

But then the other clues just didnt seem to gel.

Will be interested to see the full list from Herc.

But as I couldnt spend the final night alone with Charles I guess i will just have to spend a last moment with Xia.

I truly wish i didnt have to kill you too my beautiful Xia, but i think you will find that tonight is your last night.

Sleep well with the stars too Princess Xia.
