  • I just select greed for everything. in last VC I selected need on one thing. A good blue ring with a decent Int bonus. The staff I was referring to was a quest reward for the defias line of quests. The quest reward has a good blue set of pants for my warrior as well.

Now I'm ready to take my warrior to deadmines. She's a bit high for the instance, but it will be my first time tanking for a warrior. I'm a bit nervous. So I made sure she's a high enough level to compensate for any mistakes.

Deadmines pretty much requires all pulls. Even though some are casters. Everyone is a runner. So I'm thinking pull with xbow, enrage, wait till 20 rage then thunderclap so the healer doesn't pull aggor. I hear the new thunderclap rage update in a patch is pretty good. I think that will prevent the healer from getting aggro. Then a sunder on the main target maybe. Revenge when it comes up. Alternate between revenge and sunders, maybe a thunder clap every now and then. I'm still now sure how much I'll have to rotate targets. Should I cleave?

    • before my thread completely dies what is vent and how do I use it?

I have 2 guilds my alts are in that they regularly use vent. It seems like a way to communicate with the microphone etc. How do I use it? Where do I get it?

I'm not sure I want to talk to my guildies . Many of them are young. One in army of darkness on shu halo is 13 years old. One girl is 16. I feel so out of place. What would I say to these people?

      • download vent, just google it

or ask them, they should provide the server information and all

            • pushed my druid up 4 levels yesterday. I really love druids. Just takes them a while to get good. The first 20 levels are tough. He's 34 now.

I don't have the crowd control rogues have though. I miss sap (and pickpocket). But it's cool being an animal.

As for my hunter, hunters seem to be regarded as noob classes, and I just don't have that much interest in him except to farm money. It's still fun playing with the char, but seems to be lacking in the party mentality.

I may get vent, but I doubt I'll say anything. But I like to keep up on the gossip.

              • oh in case you guys haven't heard. Blizz announced new xp. I haven't even checked out the details yet. I hope it doesn't come out for a while. My goal is to get all 9 classes up to 70. . That's a lofty goal. I didn't think it would be this hard. Getting to 30 is the easy part. It gets harder after that. Almost all of my classes are at 30 or above except my mage (28 troll), and my priest (24 human). And even then, there is no time for end game stuff for all of them (takes too much work to get epic gear), I'll have to pick one or two and go with it. Most likely my druid and pally. As they are party friendly.

although I have my doubts I will do any endgame stuff. I'm just not willing to put forth the work to get end game epics.

                • That's funny as it's way more effort and grind getting nine classes to max level.

                      • grinding is easy. I guess I'm too lazy to look up all the required info needed to get epics.

How do I get exalted with the consortiam for example? I need to look all this stuff up. What about exalted with the aldors? Then I need to look up each piece of equipment individually to find out where to get it. But before I do that I need to look up what equipment I actually want.

I still have been unable to get my crit chance above 20%. I hear all the time this is nothing for most players. I can't find the equipment to do it. Should I go for crit chance? It gives my pet more focus and allows me to use the kill command. though kill command isn't a bid deal, it's only used to even out the threat produced by the crit. So is the focus bonus come to think of it. Perhaps I should concentrate more on dps. I don't know.

                        • oh I got my flying mount. I just got normal, tired of trying to save up for epic. 5000g isn't that easy to make. Eventually I'll run out of quests to do, though there are dailies I have found out...

Funny I played my hunter a decent bit after news of a new xp came out. Is it worth that much work for equipment that will be obsolete when the new xp comes out? Right now I'm just trying to work for revered with the consortium so I can get that blaster they have. Finish as many outlands quests as I can.

I've been a bit scared to do outlands instances. I hear stories of how hard they are. Are they that much less forgiving than pre outlands instances? It seems like you have to do everything perfect all the way thru or you'll wipe. I do tend to make mistakes. I accidently hit the wrong button at times. Especially when I get nervous. I know I shouldn't get nervous over a silly game, but I do. And I get nervous about screwing up in front of other people and have them yell or laugh at me. It's a matter of confidence. I have that confidence with the lower level instances up to SM. Mainly because I know those instances, and know what to expect.

                          • forgot my screenshot.

my only beef is it's so slow. it should be 100% not 60%. I can't keep up with party members when they are on their epic land mounts. .

opens up skyguard quests as well. Rep with them seems easier than with netherwing. Seems like even the dailies with netherwing require a party. All that work for the dragon mount. Seems too much for me. It is faster, but it's really just an prestige thing to impress other people.

                            • Feel free to laugh at me, but somehow I still haven't spent any Talent points.

My druid is now level 31, meaning I have 22 talent points not being used, my warlock is level 16 so I have 7 points there.

Originally I hesitated to spend them because I didn't want to screw up, after that I thought I would save them up to spend them all at once, and after a while I kinda forgot about them.

I am tempted to spend all of my Druid points on Feral and hopefully help my character out there. I am also tempted to see how long I can wait before my character is sorely lacking in some areas (already I think I see differences between my character and similar leveled characters, this will only get worse I suspect).

I hate the idea of "respec" of my talents, gold is dear to me as it is so I want to make sure I get it right, but should I quit waiting and just do it (spend them, however I spend them, but just spend them).

On another note, I helped out a Gnome Mage yesterday to complete a couple of quests that were far above him. He was level 18, I was level 30, and he wanted to fight against creatures that were level 27+. I killed what he needed and he got his quest items, he paid me 2 gold in total for the two quests. 2 gold for my druid is a lot, so I was happy to help. I asked him why he was doing the quests and they led to a item that transformed the user into a creature which he wanted to be able to use for PvP. Having never played PvP, I didn't know how it would help him but would be curious to see the fight. Maybe he wanted to change into it prior to the fight so that his opponents wouldn't know what they were facing? Or maybe in the middle of the fight so they didn't know what he changed into?

                              I don't know, but I am curious.

                              /me

                              • Best thing to do is get a solid talent build online. You'll have enough money later on to respec if you want, when you know the game better. Not using your talents slows your levelling down immeasurably.
