  • I'm currently also in a casual guild with about 203 characters (not sure how many actual people). I think they got plenty of lvl 70 people to do raids, and are currently trying to get a Karazhan raid organized.

Joined only 2 days ago, so dont know too much about them yet though. The character i joined them with is only lvl 36, so it's not like i have to worry about raids yet either.
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

    • It's usually possible to find a decent but yet not too prescriptive raiding guild. However, in almost any guild if you are one of the least active players you will take a very long time to get gear.

      • Well, my free trial is over. Probably tomorrow, really. I played for about a week... I did Maurdan (took 3 tries this time, and I did it once at 43 before I quit 6 months ago), and got 6 levels.

That is a lot harder then I have played WoW since the beginning, I think, and I don't want to continue at this pace. I have work, and exercise, and other things I want to do. I also want to do some things in WoW... hmm, still not sure on resubscribing.

What I was doing when I played (Responsibly!) last year was 1-2 levels per week, sometimes not even that. That could be done in less then 15 hours of play time per week (I know I Could level in 5 hours relatively easily, but I like screwing around a bit). (I would generally play ~10 hours per week) I think I would still be fine with 10 hours per week, but I do need to make sure that I can get everything done I need to this month.. I haev some important things to do.

And one of those isn't getting to outland.

(I still can't compete with my freinds, one was 48 when I started playing a week ago, and is 57 now, and he keeps his job also)

        • I'm convinced that nothing this addictive can be healthy

I'm bored of it, but I'm not bored of it. If that makes any sense.

the gameplay is the same, but there is so much I haven't seen. some guy was selling some kind of rockem sockem robot (different name), looks kind of funny. I never messed around with engineering at all. But it's just a humorous gimick, doesn't change the fact the gameplay is the same. Yeah with my alts I kill things in different ways, but the fact remains killing is the same.

Was working on fishing yesterday. I find as in real life, fishing is more enjoyable while drinking beer. .

But I think my days with this game are drawing to a close. Although I said something similar a couple months ago.

found a new guild for my shaman, still haven't really looked with my warlock or hunter. I guess eventually I could get used to the guild for my shaman. Just takes a while for me to get to know other people.

but it's funny how you miss the people in the old guild. the social aspect is a bigger part of this game than I realized.

          • Engineering rocks!

The robots are called tonks, I think. Right now there are only a few BC good engineering things, but before BC came out there were a lot of good stuff to have 35-60.

              • just disregard anything I said about giving up the game.

I'm still addicted, but I'm not obsessed with it the way I was before. I don't play everyday anymore, and my play time is much reduced. My hands can't handle any more than that. and frankly, I'm getting bored of some aspects of the game.

                • It is better to do that. I only paly hard every once in a while, mostly I play 10-20 hours a week. OK, that might still be considered hard by some.

                    • I bought the game, and the game card, so I should be good to go. Played last night for the first time, finished one quest easily (a green one) and died repeatedly trying to complete a yellow one.

I think I will have more luck tonight. I came close to completing it a couple of times last night.

Sometimes it is dificult to choose when I should be in bear form and when I should be Druid. As a druid I can heal myself, but as a bear I do more damage.

Not sure which is better against a stronger opponent then me (though I am level 19 and so was the mob "den mother" so I guess I can't really say stronger opponent).

                        • oops, I should have been clearer.

I played the trial version a month or more ago, and it expired after the trial period, during which I did many quests and got to level 19.

I finally bought the game this past weekend, and was able to play for the first time (again ) last night, but was only able to complete one quest last night.

Is thaht clearer? I played again tonight, joined another guild (my first one booted me for inactivity I guess) and treamed up with a lower level player to complete some quests.

At one point his pet (he was a hunter) was poisoned so I tried to cure it, but I wasn't able to. I was able to cure him however, is there some reason I couldn't heal the cat?

                          • druids aren't an easy class, though many people say they are.

I'm not good at quickly switching out of forms.

It's time to make a decision about what you want to be primarily. Stay in cat or bear form most of the time, group with other players mostly and heal, or be a caster.

Caster might be toughest because you don't have much crowd control. But you can use entangling roots (or hibernate) on one target, then kill the other. then go back to the first. But it's hard to get spells off without being pounded on.

I played my tauren druid a little yesterday. Got him up to 20. Again (as with my ne) I'm going into the feral talent tree. I primarily stay in form except to heal and crowd control as needed. I was fighting catlords in the troll village in ghostlands, I used hibernate on the cats, switched to bear to kill the catlord, then when the cat woke up I killed the cat. This worked out well.

sometimes I'll go to caster form to pull. An important aspect of the game is to pull crowds away from groups of other monsters. Especially if they are runners (run when their health is low). This will save your life alot. So I use moonfire of wrath to pull then shift to bear or cat form.

                            • I deleted my mage because I found out I made a typo in my name. . I hate when I do that, I wish I could change my name. He was only level 14, but still. Now I have a new troll mage. I deleted my undead mage because I just don't like undead. I did at first, but undead are just despicable. .

                              trolls are the ****.

ahh den mother. I remember that quest. It was a tough one. It's best just to wait for someone else to come along and invite them to party with you.

if you are careful and the person before you killed the mobs at uneven times, you might only have to fight 2. but fighting 3 is suicidal. I don't recommend it. If you are fighting multiple mobs like that you need to be like 3 levels higher than them. hibernate is nice, but won't put the bears out long enough.

if you are lucky and only have to face two (either because of careful pulling or someone before you killed them, and they haven't spawned yet) you can cast hibernate on the cub, and go for the den mother.

As for poison, did you do the cure poison quest? It's a level 14 quest you get from your trainer (and they send you to moonglade). It's a little tough to get the materials. As horde you need earthroot. I can't remember the ne version. Also level 16 has a quest for water form, that quest is very tough if you don't know where to look.

but you will have to cast cure poison to cleanse the poisons. If you haven't done the quest, you will get a better cure poison at level 24 iirc.
