bah, shamans are a dime a dozen. now tanks and priests are always in high demand.

did some quests the other day in Nagrand that involved killing several high level and high hp elites in and arena type pit.

My paladin guild mate pressured me to join. Funny thing is I ended up not using the axe. It wasn't that good as it didn't up my critical %.

Anyways the paladin was trying to tank even though he recently converted over to retribution spec. He was only 65 anyways (as was I at the time). The quest is rated at 68 group. But he really wanted that axe.

If I used any shot other than normal shot I pulled aggro from him. We also had a 70 priest, and he couldn't keep the pally alive. The first battle my pet was tanking. . We actually won that battle, I was the only one left alive.

Later on we brought in a 70 mage, but of course he pulled aggro. Finally we got a 68 warrior. He's a dps warrior, but like a good warrior, carries a 1 hander and a shield. He did a pretty good job. He was asking us if he did good. He stayed alive, and none of us pulled aggro, so I think he did real good.

I was so thankful for that warrior. They are a godsend for battles like that. The priest was necessary as well. You just can't do everything in this game without a warrior and a priest.

Sounds like the problem wasn't limited to his Spec. As I've said before, Pallies are hard to run.

My Priest buddy and I are doing pretty well though - we've got our teamwork going more smoothly now, and call out important abilities on Vent to let each other know what's coming. We took down Fozruk and Co. in Arathi last night by ourselves - he's a 42(?) elite with 3 40 mobs against a 41 pally and a 39 priest.

We're always popular with people LFG - they get a tank and a healer in one shot.

I still like the fact that I defeated a mob 8 levels higher then me with my paladin solo

this was after not playing her for a over a year, she is still 43

Don't know if I would try that high, but I do know that I can handle most things just a few levels higher, provided they're not elite too.

It was other paladin types that were a few levels higher which were hard

not that they could kill me, but we would both just heal eachother forever (I spent a long long time once, neither of us could defeat another)

this was back before the buff though, 3ish years ago

I remember a duel I had with my druid against a shaman. It lasted like over 10 minutes because we kept healing ourselves. He eventually beat me. His melee skills are better than mine (I was only level 4 and didn't have bear). And I got tired and slipped up and didn't heal in time, I was so intent on getting his hp's down.

so I'm wondering if it's possible for my blood elf warlock to get a troll mount at 40. yeah she can get a horsie, but I want a raptor.

I went to the newbie area (valley of trials) and did the quests there. The level 5's there must have thought I was psycho. They give joint ogrimar and dark spear trolls rep. Also did senjin village. Not sure I can do it without massive cloth donations. My hunter didn't get exalted with the trolls until level 65. lol

With only a few group quest exceptions, I've done every quest possible in: Eversong Forest, Ghostlands, Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills, Arathi Highlands, Alterac Mountains, Durotar, Mulgore, The Barrens, Stonetalon Mountains, Ashenvale Forest, Thousand Needles, Desolace.

Also done every quest for RFC, WC, BFD, RFK, SM.

This also includes all Wool/Silk donations in the four capitals.

And currently for the major Horde factions only Undercity is Exalted, with the rest all at Revered, some closer than others at reaching Exalted, but Darkspear Trolls brings up the rear at 8616/21000.

And yes, I mean every quest - I don't just look for the markers, I talk to every single NPC in a new area to make sure there's no quests where the game doesn't put the exclamation mark because the quest is gray for me. I think there should be an option to still have those markers - they still give reputation after all.

The lack of tanks/healers is pretty common in every MMORPG that i've ever played. FFXI it was basically identical - too hard to get a warrior who would just tank and not try to win the combat himself, and just hard to find white mages period. There were other tough to find classes, but you could make a party with most any four other characters - but musts were a tank and a healer, and that was what everyone spammed chat for.

lots of raiding tonight. about 3 hours worth. my shoulders are tense and tired. I'm always tense in pvp and scrunch over the keyboard. I just can't do it all the time. It's hard on my body. in pve I can just sit back and not have to worry about dying too much. just sit back and pick off monsters. instances are a bit more tense, but with a good party, even those are a breeze.

I need to get my hunter up to 70, not raiding. 3 more levels to go.

I am mad at myself for letting my what was left of my raiding party goad me into attacking a pally in booty bay. the bruisers killed me before I could get him. that shield gave him 6 extra more seconds, and I didn't have time to get him. Pallies are so hard to kill. It's embarassing because I was a much higher level than him, and I couldn't get him in time. And he was laughing like he killed me when I came back. The bruisers got in the final hit, and that will be expensive to repair. Then he was calling me a chicken to get me to attack him again. I hate that.

but I got about 30 kills. died about 10 times myself. lot of level 70's. If one got on me, I was hurtin'

yeah I'm in a night elf low level area. I was trying to farm a pattern for robes of arcana. Damn thing never drops. Does anyone know if pattern drops are affected by the type of character farming them? I'm actually farming them for my warlock, it's just much faster with a 67 hunter. . But sometimes it seems like when I'm a tailor, I get more tailoring drops. Maybe not though.
