My SO's been L15 for quite a while now and has been Deed-ifing himself across the land. And he's crafted a lot.

I'm an explorer, which means I make cash by selling wood, hides, metals and gems. I could be a tailor, but I decided not to, at least not yet.

I also have quite some deeds under my belt and I will add more in the next time. I finished the epic quest line for the level teens, the next epic quest is level 24-ish. So I have a lot of time now for just roaming and deedifing, from level 16 (which I am now) up to the 20's.

Overall I like the balance between questing and farming (you can't really call it grinding, it's too easy). If you quest, you get lots of XP and some items, but little cash. If you farm, you get lots of cash but little XP. You have to find the balance that suits you best.

I will continue to play it when 1) I'm done with LotRO and 2) VG is finished, low on bugs and sufficiently polished. The first part should be done in at most 1-2 months, the second will definitely take longer.

It's simply enjoyable. I play it as a tandem with my SO. It's not stressful or hardcore, it runs well, and it's quite sociable. Even the music jamming is fun in a town square...

It's still a troll, it's "fishing in the mud" and it doesn't address the real problems Vanguard has. Of the matters you listed only performance is a real problem, the rest is nonsense.

I don't see a problem with anything else you listed.

But I do have a problem with server crashes several times a day, with disintegrating groups (and having to relog to get back in), with mobs disappearing during combat and biting you in the ass later, with "falling through the world" twice a week, with the message "this corpse is looted by somebody else" (which is nonsense) when you finally got the rare quest drop after farming the whole day, with chunk crashes during rare combines during crafting. I personally don't have a problem when the chunk crashes while I receive a rare axe by mail and end up with two rare axes, but the GMs might not like this.

The real problem of Vanguard is that it's not finished and buggy beyond belief. Give it six more months (granted they don't go bankrupt during this time) and you might get an excellent, deep game, at least on state of the art hardware.
