Agree on the suckage part. But no need to worry, most of these super LE skills and equipments are only fluff. See the "Journeyman Boots" that came with the EQ2 LE (which I did not buy). 10% speed increasement - but a very sucky armor class. You could theoretically travel slightly faster, if you could take the suckage to switch your boots everytime you fought something. The real JBoots ("Legendary Journeyman Boots") were a level 42 item, came as reward of a long quest, and provided with the speed bonus a decent AC for the tanks and nice stats boni.

I think the increased saving throws are some spell which lasts a few seconds and has a long recast timer. The "special weapon and armor" probably looks nifty and sucks otherwise (i.e. there, where it matters). And the aura ... ... gimme a break!

Has anyone downloaded Wyvern Crown of Cormyr?
It's the last official module for NWN, and allows horseriding (Shetland ponies for halflings?), jousting and commanding of armies of troops (not strictly henchmen).

I'm waiting until Folderol updates to 1.68 (and then for payday), and after that may well be tempted to buy it - if only for the extra tilesets that come with it.
Unfortunately, the fancy tilesets (and map) that came with Darkness over Daggerfors haven't yet entered the public domain.
