There is a kukri in the junk shop in DoD.
Yep. With an imbalancingly great -1 damage bonus. I guess I'd prefer the 23 gold plain kukri from Ironeater's shop.
Yes, I had a lot of trouble trying to find a kukri too.
I looted one with 1d6 sound damage bonus, +4 concentration (veeery useful!) and +1 against fear (I'd much rather have it vice versa). Still it does not have an attack bonus and that's what I'm out for as rogue, keeping in mind that for the most part I have a (at the moment) 7d6 sneak attack bonus to add to any weapon, so additional damage is not what I need, but additional precision.
Oh well, for the moment a dagger+4 has to suffice offhand. I wish I had something of value to buy for the meanwhile over 300k gold, but both me and my henchwoman are already maxed of things for sale.

Weapon master is a ****ty subclass for SoU/HotU. There are so many great weapons to find, no need to limit yourself with a favored one.
Yeah - I'm finding that out. I'm in Chapter 2 and actually considering starting over. Stupid Dust creatures in a certain library are killing me, and as a WM I've got no suitable means to stop them.
By the way, presitge classes are exempt from the XP penalty.
Ah - cool. Thanks for that.

Go ahead starting over, I think I did chapter 1 about 5 times (likely even more, up to ten) with different classes. After you found out where things are at, it takes an evening to complete it. Overall the whole SoU can be done in one weekend.
If you mean the ones that cast darkness that part is tough with warriors. It's not true you have no resources though.
Swig potions that improve saves - the wisdom one is a must. Also, equip any items you have that improve wisdom or will saves. If your saves proc you will mash them even with gimped dmg. Also best if you have Dorna, though Deekin isn't bad.
I may be wrong, but weren't the dust monsters in the Library of Undrentide? If so, no, they don't cast darkness. They're tough nonetheless, but doable. A bit tactics really helps here. Like fighting through an open door, so that you can't be surrounded (IIRC it's pretty crowded there). Last time I solod it with a level 11-ish wizard. However, as Spikey mentioned, a fighter type has it hard soloing. Dorna helps with sneak attaks, but she's a lousy healer (if you left her at 50-50). I can't stand Deekin for his annoying conversations. I can't stand Xanos for his arrogancy either.
Deekin annoying?
He is very useful and surprisingly strong

It's Deekin or nothing! I've grown quite attached to him, to the point that I would disengage whatever was attacking me to go rescue Deekin. I even started talking out loud to the computer screen, saying stuff like "Let's get moving, Deekin." My kids were laughing at me. Hmph - they can go play Spyro and leave me alone.... er... anyway...
Thanks for the tips - the wisdom stuff helped. I also started clearing out the other two "special" buildings and managed to level up, then went back to finish the library. That helped, too.
And Sir Ralph - something in there was most definitely casting darkness. Maybe the mephits?

Rather the clerics, they like to, under certain circumstances. I haven't played SoU in a while, and the last three characters I played through chapter 2 were a pure monk, a pure wizard and a fighter/wizard/palemaster, all three with naturally high will saves, so I went by unaffected.
But will save is dependent on WIS, not INT, so why would your wizard have a naturally high will save? Unless you built the character specifically with this in mind, but I'd prefer to put points into DEX rather than WIS, so at least the wizard has a chance of dodging melee attacks - which are far more frequent than those requiring will saves.
