Redistribution afterwards is an older precedent established in GO1. Actually, it was part of the original rules. This redistribution rule only allows redistribution of captured bases between allies that actually took part in the attack and only if all allies agree and only immediately after the turn in question.

IT makes sense that in an allied attack , a group of allies could decide to divide the bases any way they want, as long as they specified it in the orders for the turn. Redistribution afterwards seems to allow manipulation.

Turn 4: "Consolidation is the key"
This turn was teh yawn. Kit Chuss (Joncha) was the only one that was active and all he found was Mr Y.'s (Jonny's) shield. Kit loses 6 of his laser frigates.
Everybody else was doing something, although I'm not sure what exactly.
