I like the japanese RPGs (or did.. haven't played them much recently), but they are more like interactive moveies, story video games then a pen and paper RPG.

It was one possible route you could do from back in the day when RPG meant a dungeon crawl (Rogue for example).

Well i leveled u pto level 24. Still cant get a house in skinigrad, (probably only quest item i wont be able to do, jsut a bug in my console version i think

Been busy shutting gates here there and everywhere as part of quests and just managed to shut the great gate.

still got to increase rank in mages and fighters guild before finsihing of the game

The Oblivion forum at Elderscrolls is hilarious! - i wonder if bethesda really thought through what they were hoping to achieve with Oblivion?

Are lots of you guys still playing this? Rasputin is going good on it still, Imran(on 360 only or PC as well?) and maybe John Miller.........what happend to Yin? he was going all crazy with graphics card upgrades etc...?

I'm not playing it currently. I played it solid for a month, 4 different characters, became head of all the guilds (fighters and thieves guild twice), played the main quest twice, and just had to take a break.

I'm looking forward to returning to the game after the first patch and after some of the mods progress a bit further. The uber character development made the process too easy (that is, dull) at a certain point. The good news is I did most of that levelling doing harmless things like cave crawls and hunting. Most of the plot and quest remain untouched, so I can return to the patched/modded game with a ton of content left.

Invisibility/Chameleon really breaks the game.

I'm still playing... just trying to pace myself. In the beginning, staying up to 2 AM or 3 AM really killed me at work the next morning.

Haven't touched it since GalCiv 2 had their big 1.1 patch. But I'm not even playing that much as real life creeps in now summer has hit.

I played Obvlivion solid for about a month/month and a half or so. I'll be back to it after the patch and I need a break from GC2.

yeah i'm thinking it will be a better experience after a bit of tlc from patches+mods, so i've left it alone after my trail run.

I just feel for the 360 players who dont have an internet connection! doubly so as this was like 'the game' for that console......i'm glad i didnt get a 360 just for OB!

Just finished the main quest but now got a few mini quests to finihs off.

got houses in every city excet skinigrad (damn elusive NPC)

going to try and get my mercantile level up so i can get a shop.

FYI that the first patch is out for Oblivion. Came out a couple days ago. Got me to look at all the mods out there and I've started playing again with a few of them.

many report the patch does not work as advertised. many of the claimed fixes are not working.

Arfgh, the game's too time consuming for the time being...
Not exactly a game to play for 10-15 minutes or so

I've recently bought MW(GOTY edition) for my PC. I had only played it on xbox previously, got a lot of mileage out of it even so

And, well with all the excellent mods/graphic texture replacements etc for that game, and the much better performance, i'm just not feeling that interested in Oblivion - MW modded is a very deep, massive, amazing game. Sadly i dont think i'll ever be able to say that about Oblivion
