I wouldn't even think about having sex with a corpse. Oh, and are there corpses other than dead?

      • I've now completed the Dark Brotherhood questline in addition to the Thieves Guild questline.

Now I'm doing assorted quests I've accumulated in my log. Only have done 1 oblivion gate still.

            • The game has funny moments

I was in a random elven shrine. Standing in a big hall where most of it considered of traps - three huge tiles of the floor would rise up and crush you vs. the ceiling if you step on them. So the only way is to move along the walls.

I'm standing at one end of this hall, and at the other end, there's a zombie, we're both just a couple of steps away from a trap tile. I shoot the zombie with an arrow. Woo hoo! The stupid thing starts walking towards me... boom, floor rises, crush! Zombie still alive, continues onto the second trap tile, crush again. Poor zombie was confused and kept running around, stepping on one trap tile after the other and triggering the traps for a total of 10 or so times until it was finally killed .

              • Update on the skill bug if anyone cares.

If you doing any quest or action that increases a skill by a set amount that skill will stop increasing. There are about 5 places in the game that I've seen that do this (arena quest for the tips breaks athletics, block, blade, watching guys fight outside arena breaks hand to hand, etc.).

The good new is that eventually the skill will fix itself. You may gain a +5 to the skil, but then to get the next level you actually have to gain 6 levels. Essentially, the bonus level gives you nothing at all. Hooray for shoddy programming.

Of course not! Like the Ultima series I usually rob the citizens blind when they arn't looking. This is all for a good cause of course...

Yesterday when I was wondering about the woods I came accross a pair of Imperial Soldiers fighting a couple of bandits. The bandits lost of course then one of the soldiers said 'die scum' or something to that effect. I thought they were about to trounce on me, but they started fighting each other with bows. I don't think either one was bewitched. They just stood there shooting each other until one of them died. Best guess is that the one who was shooting at the bandits missed and hit his fellow guard who was in melee with them.

At any rate I got some decent free loot from the bandits and the dead guard.

                    • Btw, I VERY MUCH recommend BTMod v2.20, especially the UI Customization Package. It is very well done, very easy to set up and looks great! Not only does it add more lines in every inventory screen, but the config package allows you do all sorts of fun stuff, like add numbers displaying the % of Hit Points, Magika, and Fatigue you have. Displaying numbers over your skills to show how far you have to go to the next one.

Like this (from the readme... not my guy):
                      Attached Files
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

                      • Adding numbers to the HUD and a bar under your weapon to show if you have to repair... and smaller top left text:
                        Attached Files
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

                        • Finally! Oblivion interface is truly dreadful at times, particularly the lack of numbers that were even in Morrowind. Although ideally, the HP and mana meters should display the actual numbers and not the percentages.

                          • There is lot more fun stuff as well in the BTMod. Changing the zoom of the World Map. Adding big warnings when your HP are getting low, etc. They give you the XML files and then, you can go in them afterwards and play around.

Some people also have changed the compass to make it look nicer... I haven't changed it up yet. There is also stuff to make the HUD much smaller... but I haven't done that because then I'd probably not realize when I have no HP or MA left .

                            • Btw, for playing with the XML files, I'm using XML Marker:

Are there any others out there that are better?

                              • I made 2 observations today.

                                1) The game is becoming more and more unstable especially when changing zones - I got three crashes to desktop today while entering buildings or fast travelling. I never had stability problems before.

                                2) Barrels and crates in cities and dungeons are recharged after exactly 1 month game time. I learned that the hard way - I had 3 crates in the market district (1 for storation, 1 for stolen goods to be sold and 1 trashbin), and all three lost their content. In a 4th crate in a dungeon near Kvatch I had stored some loot (which had gotten too heavy) and its comtent disappeared at the same time. When I looked at the date, it was exactly 1 month after the game started.
