I survived the vote only to be murdered most savagely. Now you will see that I could not have been the mafia, as two still live . Too late for me however, I will take some solace in the justice that at least my principle accuser (Nikolai) also was forced to meet his maker.

the police launch arrived some hours later...

Sgt O'Malley and two constables came up to the House and met with all of us.

Over the course of several hours, and many interviews they decided that Adagio should be taken into custody for the murder of Ruby Chaser.

As they set off back across the lake there were many relieved people. Drinks flowed, some went off to bed exhausted, others gathered around the piano and unwound with song and drink.

and then there were those who had other ideas...

As Sparrowhawk entered his room he felt a cold blade pressed to his throat. "You were quite sloppy in the way you killed Ruby. Did you not even look to see that I was watching? You operate with a high level of arrogance, or is it the consumption of too many drugs? Either way you will not see out this night." And with that the knife was drawn quickly across Sparrowhawks throat, allowing for a long gurgle as the last gasp of air escaped his body.

Now that would have been bad enough I am sure, if not the thoughts of others were not set upon evil and revenge. As the night progressed, a certain soul sort out Nik, followed his actions and eventually cornered him on the back terrace.

Nik: "do I know you?"

Death: "of course you do, you just have a terrible memory young man."

Nik: "well it is good to see you, may you remind me where I know you from?"

Death: "remind you, no way, why waste my time."

and with that the man Nik could faintly remember lifted a gun and shot Nik 3 times in the mouth.

The shots were loud enough to get reactions from many of us, well those not to drunk that is. And thus it was that we found Nik in a large pool of blood on the snow covered back terrace.

Shock followed fear follwed calls for help followed calls for the police to return.

Bruce was sent at once to call the Police back, just to return and tell that the phone lines were now in operational.

It was decided at this time to send Nath over to town in our boat and to gather everyone again in the main room.

This was to be a long night indeed.

and then in gathering everyone did we find that Sparrowhawk was dead as well
