I'm introducing another change to the rules (final for this game). Shield inflicts damage equivalent to 10% of the tonnage of the attacking fleet, but not less than 18 HP!

Just means you lose a few guys, no matter what. 18 HP is a minimum of 6 BPs worth of ships, which means that you're guaranteed to lose at least one ship, no matter what (even if you send all titans). Not sure why not 15, though, Ljube would have to explain that
Now, my own question. Is it '18 hp / attacker' or '18 hp / fleet'? And if so, how is that 18hp distributed - just 'first 18hp' (meaning a ship is definitely destroyed, even if it's an all-titan fleet of multiple players) or '18hp, evenly distributed amongst players' (meaning titan fleets are safe).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

The rules explain that. The GM applies hits to allied fleets in the same way as to a normal fleet. This means that if one ally has smaller ships than his partner, he will take the bulk of the casualties. War is hell.Comment

1. Although "Default is fight to the death" is not in red, people should take note of it as it is new.
2. Ljube should check Sparrow's numbers again.
3. 18 HP/fleet is scary early game.
