First Min Grah tried to build 3 torpedo dreadnaughts. His engineers failed to produce them, of course, and only managed to build 3 torpedo battleships instead (I'm following the precedent established by Jamski in GO1 covering situations of attempted build of higher class ships than supported by self built bases).
Then Min Grah hired a highly reputed top military expert, retired Admiral Ackbar. He analysed the composition and technical level of Grah's fleet, the level of training and moral of his pilots and the likelihood of an attack. He advised Grah to not raise shields this time and opt for a novel defence: manoeuvring of nonexistent fighter component of his fleet in the second wave.
His second in command, Rear-Admiral Bligh advised strongly against the tactic suggested by Ackbar and even threatened to resign if Min Grah refused to shield, but the policeman remained firm. Bligh indeed resigned and Ackbar was in command of Grah's fleet when the Emperor's legions of Sardaukar swarmed the skies. It was then discovered that due to his advanced age Ackbar had been suffering from dementia, but it was too late. Putting Ackbar in charge was one mistake too many.

72T - 0L - Min Grah takes 72 hits and his tiny fleet is destroyed
