  • well, the report you posted said the attacker lost 300k.

I'm also doubtfull if your loss makes up for a moon.
I think moons only get usefull when you have two of them.

I also picked up something about fleetsaving to moons prevents one from getting spotted by a Falanx. Not sure how that works though.

And no. No debris for him.
    It's in your moon now

      • With jumpgates between moons, you can travel to another system instantaneously. I can get a battlefleet from galaxy 3 to galaxy 9 with no time delay. Of course, now I need a second moon.

I can also build a phalanx, so once I have a fleet again I can ninja other people's fleets.

        • No the debris will still be there after the moon forms. Just a large amount causes it to form.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

          • Yes, he still gets the debris even though it also formed into a moon. Strange but true.

And yes, I did kill 5 of his battleships. Makes me feel slightly better.

            • Duke, Atragon, Sparrow, Cyclotron- I was thinking of sending out a colony to around 3:400-3:500- I'll be glad to send you some resources in a day or two if one of you could help get the colony set up after its founded (since my home base is so far away in galaxy 2 and resources will take a long time to arrive)- are any of you game for a little ***-for-tat?

              • On another subject- what can an attacking fleet destroy other than just the resources?

Can it destroy structrues on the planet outside of defenisve structures?

And is it a good idea to build ABM's at this stage in the game for me- I have 1000 points and just built two. As soon as I can, I'm getting ICBMs...

                • DC, where you plan to send that Ship is right near me. Let me know when it is founded and I would be pleased to send you some start up resources. As for payback there is a rule about "pushing" which involves a lower ranked player sending resources to a higher ranked player. It is a bannable offense for both players so I wouldn't want you to repay anything to me. You becoming a stronger alliance member is payback enough.

As for planetary structures, they cannot be destroyed in an attack. Only fleets and defenses are destroyed in attacks. Buildings are not effected.

As for IPM's and ABM's I have none of either and while I soon should have both, I think it is way early for you to worry about them now. Up to you of course, but I wouldn't spend any more resources expanding them while you are workign on other areas first.

I've put off getting that technology for a while for some strange reason.

                          • In the first weekend we started this (or maybe the second?) we bashed a small alliance to pieces.
So, why not bash someone again?

                            Hitlist:
We should make and update regularly a hitlist of players/alliances who have attacked us and are not too big for us to swallow.
The hitlist should be at first post and should have all the known coords, so it's easy to find or you could put the hitlist in our alliance screen aswell.

Then, we should agree on some date and hour when to commence attack (as well as other dates prior and after to that date necessary to properly carry out the operation).
This agreement should be discussed here and the actual values like coordinates and times should be replaced with special keys, e.g. coordinates could be represented by their number in the 'hitlist' while datetimes should be given a special key which is sent in a circular mail, e.g. X-010, which means the tenth datetime in the operation 'X'.

It would be very good if we can pull of one such large-scale cooperated operation per week.
For that instance we should know when each of us is available, so we can effectively cooperate.
We could also make 'operational stages' like someone coming in bashing that planet to stone age, then a couple of hours later the other planet(colony) is bashed by other people who've come online - to keep a constant pressure.

Also - I see some of us are building huge projects lately.
That would help our specialisation because while some can do a very advanced science and thus have huge attacking potential, the others can just come in with their low tech vessels and finish up/raid/recycle things left after, so we make a clean sweep where we go (or 'steamroll' if you wish).

Skanky also got moon, so he can set up the first phalanx (can you, Skanky?) in our phalanx network..
I will make an advanced proposal on this later, but it could be very good if we could make a phalanx network covering galaxies 1-3.

We could also set up a 'colony planning agency' - one or two of us would collect data of existing planets and see 'gaps' in galaxies which should be filled for better coverage, find out appropriate planets and then the players who want to put a colony, come to the 'agency' and asks for a place to settle, so the whole thing is planned out an well organised.

Right now, we should go bash our old enemies for training (kowriv still exists, right?)..
Once we've discussed this and drawn up some plan, we can proceed with more advanced targets..

                            More on this later..

Good job, I've been beelining for that one as well.

BTW I deleted my uni 3 account. It is just too time consuming to play in multiple uni's.

Barely having time for the uni 8 account lately.

Raiding has gotten a little bit tedious.
