All right, up another colony (in Galaxy 5 this time)... and hopefully this time Droth won't attack me (1K metal, 300 crystal, and something less than 10 deut as of this writing... and no fleet in orbit)
Here is your home system, Skanky is almost right next door to you (good to have one of our most powerful alliance members as your neighbour, even though he is probably too powerful to do anything to someone bothering you ).
Looks like you already have an inactive in your system. By the way, I am posting your Galaxy as it will cost you 10 deuterium every time you want to do so, which at your stage is a lot ...so try and stay away from clicking the "Galaxy" option ).

His alliance is the JO or Jedi Order. I read through all the threads before I joined and wasn't there something a while back with one of them attacking? Perhaps it was him and he has a long memory?? (Though not a good sense of strategy it seems)
Looks like they are higher ranked than us with more members, but not a huge threat perhaps?

Well, it seems Angel of Death ( ) wisened up sent sent 2 small freighters... undefended this time.
Destroyed
The attacker has won the battle!
He captures
78 Metal, 39 Crystal and 0 Deuterium
The attacker has lost a total of 0 Units.
The defender has lost a total of 0 Units.
At these space coordinates now float 0 Metal and 0 Crystal.
This time, I had 2 small freighters of my own hauling everything I had away to Homeworld for safe keeping; also, I shut down all production on B, so he got diddly-squat for his efforts. What a maroon.
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.
Get yourself a shipyard there and get it a token defence. Why bother fleetsaving the resources produced when you can just shoot him down with no effort?
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
Because I enjoy watching the "Angel of Death" reaping a whole assload of nothing again and again.
Actually, I'm going to be developing gauss canons before too long. I'll wait till I have Recyclers before building any defences for my colonies. Currently just the one, but I hope to add a second before I go to bed.

While searching for correct formula's with google, I stumbled upon a few threads like ours on other boards
Typing Ogame with Apolyton in google didn't make me very happy though

I find some of the logic kinda funny to this game.
Most of my time is spent transporting my stockpiled resources back and forth between my home world and one of my colonies (or more likely from my Colonies to my home world).
What I find funny is that my homeworld is reasonably well defended, my cargo's I send out without an escort.
It seems strange to me that my resources are safer flying through space on cargo ships then they are sitting docile on my defended planet
One of the quirks of the game I guess.

On another topic:
My research lab is currently at level 8 and I am tempted to upgrade it to 9 (though I really want 10 to allow for IRN at some later date) just to speed up my research (so that I don't have to do as much of the above mentioned resource management while waiting for my research to complete).
Does anyone have 9 or higher research lab and did it have much effect on your research times? As someone ?Spaced? stated a while back, the law of diminishing returns is in place for research labs, shipyards and robotic factories as the time factor doesn't decrease much on one level of upgrade to any of the 3.

For day-long research it saves you 30 minutes to half an hour. Its also needed for IRN too though, so if you have nothing better to do with the resources why not?

hmmm actually just speed simed it, turns out it's a very bloody draw, i get a 15% moon chance, but lose over 2million res, he loses a shade under 3.5 million res. my recycler crews are in for a long night!
i'm not sure whether to use my missles now (i have 10, he has 10 anti-balistic) or wait for a little bit.
by the time all this is over, he's not going to be that hard a target, so feel free to hit 4:432:9
