Really? Damn, I've got to boost my espionage skills.

I'm having real trouble finding decent trips for my pilots. All I can find (without attacking alliance members) is either enough for one large cargo or too heavily defended for even all my 9 cruisers to take on. One guy had 15 ion cannons lined up. SpeedSim, like the magic 8 ball, thought not.

As far as defence is concerned, I've got 40 missile launchers, 20 small lasers, 3 heavy lasers, 3 gauss cannons, 2 ion cannons and a small shield dome. Think that will keep the wolves from my door? Even though I have nearly 61k deuterium lying about, I've only got 3k metal, and 400 crystal. That's not worth attacking for. Anyone need any deut? I've got a couple of spare fleet slots and 11 idle small cargoes.

I'm currently researching Espionage level 6. Next step is Hyperspace Engine level 3.

Oh, a funny anecdote.

While scanning galaxy 4, i found s debris field with 9600D. So I sent a Harvester there while I went to bed. When I woke up I got the message that my Harvester was filled to the brim and that there was a lot more. So I checked that system again (all planets owned by the same alliance) and while I was sleeping there had been some major battles going on over there. I've been hauling over 200.000 resources back home today...

n00b question, how do you use recylers, it only gives the option to attack or transport when you target a planet with one?

was it the guys from that big alliance that got you skanky?

Nope, someone else with 200 battleships.

You send the recycler to a debris field (rather than targetting a planet). On the galaxy view, debris fields are marked with a T.

I'm one step away from battleships, but the fourth Hyperspace engine costs 80kM 160kC and 48kD

I'm not sure if I want to spend that yet, or first enlarge my cruiser fleet.

Got attacked by 48 Battleships from nearby, but lifted most of my recources in advance.

More and more I have the feeling that planet defenses are pretty useless. Against such attacks there is little defense, and the assaults will onle get larger.

I currently have a small defense. small shield, 40 missile 20 small Lasers and 10 Ion.
I'm not going to upgrade ATM, perhaps never
