Do you guys think robot factories are worth investing in? do they make that big a difference to construction times in your opinions? i cant make up my mind.

Ah the theory of diminishing returns.

Robotic Factory

This Building decreases the Building time of Buildings each Level. It should be built as soon as possible to speed up Building Time.
The initial cost for this Building is 400 Metal, 120 Crystal, and 200 Deuterium.
The formula for the Building Time of Buildings is ((("Metal"+"Crystal"/2500)*(1/("Level"+1))*0.5^"Level of Nanite Factory".

So no RF is 1/1 =
level 1 time is cut in half
lv 2 time is cut in third....diminishing

Once you get to about level 5, I wouldn't bother, early on. But you'll need to go to 10 to get the nanite factory which helps both buildings and more importantly, shipyards.

The nanite factory OTOH keeps halving production time.

yep mine is at level5 and apart from the push to nanite i was thinking i could probably spend my hard grown resources on other area's for the next long while

Right, I've got 4 fleets out raiding at the moment, for shedloads of stuff, and have a huge attack planned for tomorrow. To give you some kind of idea, I'm sending 4 cruisers, 2 heavy fighters (not sure if I'll need them, but hell, they can bring stuff back if necessary ), 3 large cargoes and 12 small cargoes. I expect about 140k in resources.

Not quite as good as Spaced managed, I grant you, but then he only had missiles to contend with.

Bold Benson stretchs his new fighter destroying platforms. I lost 1 large cargo though. The battle report has scrolled out of my inbox but it seems I trashed the most fighters in the first round...

Hmmm, you seem to have fewer points than I do.
I really need to build a load more large cargoes if I'm to properly raid the locals.

its the cruisers, I dont really know what rapid fire does, but being able to knock out light fighters and missile launchers sounds damn good to me!

got 3 attacks out atm, including a fresh bashing of 4:442:10. i'll be milking my cows, or should i say herd, later on tonight

tomorrow i'm gonna build a 3rd colony, maybe another deut/crystal one in my galaxy, research a few more techs and build my fleet up a bit more. might try and find some bigger targets as well, for my resource hungry fleet

I'm setting up my menu for attacks from work tomorrow lunchtime. I want to spend a minimum of time on the site in case it gets me into bother, but have already set up two tasty prospects, at the moment neither of which will require fighting.
